Each team to get £310mill if they join.

None of big boys can as Fifa banning players from World Cup.

Sod it! Get us in, means we won’t go down at least and none of our lot play at World Cups and avoid relegation.

*as long as we sign Juanpi

**might be a few beers down.

i said when it came out in october, that i hope they do, so i can laugh my arse off at majority ambitious failing

because ive always thought there a huge flaw in there European super league. its the simpliest going. only 1 team can win & only 4 teams can finish in top 4. because they are all focused on the money & they all think they will challenge for the title. because when you have Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, B Munich, Dortmund, PSG, Lyon, R Madrid, Barca, A Madrid, Juventus, AC & Inter Milan. someone going to come 12th. these massive clubs wont be happy finishing mid table every year. but arsenal fan tv is going to be hilarious if they think 7th is a disaster. wait til they are 14th & getting their arse handed to them by Bayern Munich, PSG, R Madrid & Barca every week. they'll be screaming to come back 🤣

5 points at the halfway point of the Premier League.

What would we have at the same stage of the European Super League 🤣

That Amazon bloke has the moolah to do it and the world buying everything via his shop.
Maybe.

Is there any link to this, just speculation or a pipe dream?

As if FIFA think banning players from the World Cup will make them think twice of playing in this European Super League (if it ever happens). Players will be like, oh no, i get the summer off and look at my 200k a week. Gutted.

My feeling on this is this will happen. The big clubs are already wanting CL to be a closed shop. The new "league" format. All 32 teams will be in one league table. Then they play some weird convoluted 10 match pattern. The top 16 qualify for knock outs and crucially they automatically qualify for next season (without league position). The next 8 drop to the Europa League and CL Play-off round in following season) and the next 8 are relegated and would need to re-qualify. If this doesnt get accepted, I can see the likes of Citeh, Manyoo, Liverpewl etc wanting to do something else. They know they will get £££ for playing Barcelona twice a season than say us.

If these clubs are thrown out of FIFA then I think that could mean that they wouldn't have to pay transfer fees. This happened with the rogue Colombian league in the 50s.

The sooner this happens the better.
The big six can join a European League and never come back.
No involvement for them in any domestic competitions.
Not that that is going to happen.
They will want to be involved in everything, expecting to dictate how things are run from being able to have as many substitutes as they want to taking most of the money available.
They will insist on monopolising whatever they can get their money grabbing mitts on.
A shame because the sooner that lot fuck off and never come back the sooner the fans can have back something approaching what might be really enjoyable again.

A super league would be a sad day for most of the leagues across Europe and I'm dead against it.

One thought I've had is to run it every 4 years instead of the CL. Not sure on how qualifications for it would work (maybe like a ranking system based on previous euro campaigns) but the super league would be just that - a league of 14 / 16 teams. All play each other twice to win the Euro Super League. Sounds a lot of games but to win the CL you need to play 13 games anyway.

The teams that usually qualify for the CL that don't make the elite 16 for the league , play in the Europa League that season instead... a bigger version.

So Y1 - CL and EL
Y2 - CL and EL
Y3 - CL and EL
Y4 - ESL and Bumper EL
Y5 - CL and EL ... and so on

Make it prestigious

I'm not worried.... it won't affect the Blades!

Surely they can't create a new European Super League without inviting Sheffield Wednesday? I mean, everyone knows that all the top teams want them back in the top flight, where they belong, it's what their fans deserve, so I am told.

S40BLADE i cant see anyone in their right mind accepting the invitation. as well as the flaws i said previous
Same here, I think if it ever will happen though corruption and bribery so heinous will have been carried out by the big clubs that any positivity and ideals of competition will have been destroyed more so than has already been done. 😓 It would 100% signify my full disconnection from the sport and I'm guessing it be the same for a whole lot of others also.

I think I am already about disconnected. You can see how it's going to go as only SIX premier League clubs are owned or co-owned by British owners who might want to preserve the heritage of English football, the rest are a mixture of Yank, Asian and Middle Eastern who, dare I say, might not really care for keeping the game orientated towards the loyal, passionate communities of fans when there are commercial opportunities available on a global scale.

Don't be surprised if in 10 years we do have a European Super League with NASCAR style sponsored kits, Justin Bieber doing a half-time show as Manchester Soccer Devils face Bayern Germans for the European Super Trophy at Wembley stadium (which has been relocated to Brooklyn).
