I find it astounding and refreshing that he isn't on his phone like all our other players and every other human being younger than me. Well done and good luck for today lad, hope you get on. (Msg typed from my phone though!)
Maybe that's the reason he looked nervous, lost his phone and can't think where he left it.

I'm being a smartarse. Academy football is not as typecast & choreographed as the Premier League. It doesn't all amount to what pattern has Wilder put the cones out this week. Also, I don't know the right words - Centre Attacking Overlapping Wing Defence - is that one? Academy players often play a number of different positions in the same game. They're learning. Also I ain't seen 'em since March. Iliman is midfield, attacks a lot.

From what I gather I could see him as a replacement for Lundstram in midfield but would have to rely on others putting a foot in as defending does not come naturally to him

but he does have flair

We could do with a bit of that - flair - that is.

This is the sort of shit I was bemoaning the other week. What on earth is the point of a video of some kid walking, hands in pockets, into the players’ entrance? It’s as if the Social Media team feel they must put something, anything, out just to show their worth.

The media accounts should be for team/club news, not some crappy photo or video of players doing nothing out of the ordinary.
Maybe it isn’t aimed at you? I remember similar grumblings when we started putting out content on tiktok.

He looked physically capable for such a. young age. Could be a real talent for us

Give him a run, better than Moose, Burke, Mcburnie and Brewster have been so far.

I liked his energy, was pretty tenacious although i didnt see him touch the ball in his cameo

encouraging signs but way too early to judge

How did he get on?
Hard to tell objectively plus point would be lots of energy full of running. In terms of actually kicking a ball no idea barely had a touch. Negative his energy got him in a pickle a bit wasn’t disciplined in his press and did a fair amount of ball chasing out of position which meant on the rare occasion we turned the ball over he was in the same space as billy or mousset. Overall it was a mixed bag certainly not a disaster.

Didn’t do much other than gave the ball away once, didn’t look ready for 1st team football yet.
Having said that he was no worse than Mr Lamborghini
Not a criticism of him its still early days and he doesn't deserve to be chucked into this mess we are in.

Cant expect him to shine in a team on its arse. The plus is he got on and that breaks the ice.
Something Wilder should have done in the previous weeks weve had kids on the bench.Cant expect anything much in these cameos but it breaks the ice for these young players. Which ime sure means a lot to them individually.

How did he get on?
I think he was the one bright light out of the shitshow yesterday!
Although it was only a brief appearance, he showed more than the rest of the outfield players had shown all game!

He'll probably be sold now though 😒

As an indicator Sunday's match is now arguably one of the most important matches of the season and its not even a PL match so we can see which way the wind is now blowing.
