What were our positives? No discussion or debate just post what you felt was positive about tonight......

I'll start....

- Burke was lively and deserves another start

- Ramsdale made some excellent saves - Gordon Banks esque one of em

- Second half was good moving forward albeit against a defensive WBA

- We created multiple decent chances

Burke looked lively first half. Gives us something we don't have (if not a striker)
McBurnie played really well first half as well. Linked up play ala Didzy. Kept coming deep and kept wanting it. Won most things in the air
Brewster's best game for us. Much better workrate and reading of the game

We created loads of chances. Probably our best attacking performance since we got into the PL, hamstrung by laughably poor finishing. The caveat is that we were playing a very poor West Brom who sat off for 35 minutes and just let us have the ball.

We looked a lot better after the tactical change. Was it a 3-4-3? Berge looked better in that deeper role in a central 2 and I think we just have to play him there for a run of games and see if he can handle it. Moose and Brewster looked sharp despite some poor play in the box. Lunny did well when he came on.

If we play the ball out from the back we become a threat, punting the ball forward is a waste of time, has been in every game. Burke finally got a chance, caused plenty of problems, drop McB and Norwood and we have a chance against most teams. Keep punting it forward and we are only going one way. We need to play football in this league and we have the players to do it.

We created chances and stopped aimlessly hoofing it in the second half.

If we keep improving at this rate, we might score another goal by January.

We had pace in the team. That’s the most positive thing for me. It made chances because it panics defenders, long balls didn’t.

Lundstram improved the midfield.

Baldock got in some good positions.

Egan and Bash were good.

I am saving myself some money by cancelling BT and Sky Sports. Season ticket holder of 40 plus years. Regular away attender. I will always follow the Blade in the flesh, as it were, but watching on TV kills me. No more tv viewing for me.

You fucking what?!?! 😂

I thought someone might take issue with that 😂😉

Obviously it’s not a good attacking performance if you don’t score. But it’s the most chances we’ve created in a long long time.

Berge is a central mid. Why we play him on the right to accomodate Norwood is one of our biggest problems IMHO.
I think Wilder finally stumbled upon a potent front three in Burke, Moose and Rhian. Whether he notices or not is moot.

I agree with what you say in this comment here.

But best attacking performance since we arrived in the Premier League, considering the wins we had last season...it's almost clickbait!

Next you'll be saying the shit results are due to widespread fraud...

Behave!

I’m partly serious. I’ve been so frustrated with how little we create that I am genuinely pleased that we created so many chances today. I had gone into the game thinking that if we lose, I’d be out of patience with Wilder. But we showed enough going forward to think we can win some games.

But you have to score.

There were plenty of positives tonight.

Unfortunately there was one big fuck off disapointment. The result.

But there was much to be encouraged about, most importantly the players are still playing for the manager and gave it a go until the final whistle.

I felt for them tonight.

exactly mcburnie has to be benched and yeah drop norwood put sander there and dont believe im saying this but put lundstrum back in flecks way off his game as well so maybe bring ben osborn back in but its heartbreaking for blades fans all these chances not being taken and chris wilder must be tearing his hair out tonight feel for him he looks so despondent

Fleck always takes a few games to bed in. He's always crap when he first comes back and we all go 'what happened to Fleck' and then he picks up again. Perhaps he lacks basic fitness or something but he has always come good again before.

Agree about a few games to settle in but tonight he was utter shite! Should have scored and for the rest of the game was a fucking passenger!

Fleck is the best player we have bar none, even below par he is quality under pressure and is the one who can open up a defence, problem is it goes over his head to McBollocks all the time. I watch every game in the hope we drop Mc B and start to play football, thus far I have been disappointed. I still fancy us against any team but only if we play with the ball on the floor, then our strikers will get the service they need from Fleck and Berge running onto a through ball, which lets be frank we have probably the two quickest in the league. Its not that hard really!!
