Keen Bryan and Jack Rodwell.

At a time we've been without 1st choice left centre half, 1st choice left back and 1st choice left central midfielder, to have failed to get a mention as a possible for any of those slots, at 24 is quite remarkable.

I appreciate he fulfills the important role of 'the one shagging the soap star' but as an actual footballer I'm troubled by the fact we're paying a lad decent money to appear more times in 'OK' than the matchday program.

How we've managed to live without a player whose wiki entry reads as follows, I'll never know:

"Able to operate as a centre-back or box-to-box midfield, Bryan has been praised for his vision and passing ability, as well as for his long-range shots and penalty-taking."

Then onto Rodwell. Chomping at the veritable bit to relinquish the tag of football mercenary, happy to take the money without actually contributing at all, he's managed to muster zero minutes all season.

I really don't see the point in having these players on the books. You'd need the entire back 5 to be out and then one of the replacements for them to get a game. What a waste of money.

You can probably add Tommy Dickfingers and Simon Moore who are merely duking it out as to who will model next season's keeper kit. If we ever needed a third goalie to bench fill Amissah could do that. In those sort of circumstances you'd have dispensation to bring in a keeper. Moore might still be injured but why tie wages up?

Those 4 must be collectively on 2m per year.

So, in summary, me too. I'm also struggling!

It's not helped, but I'm not buying that excuse, we still got some wins last season behind closed doors.

No fans doesn't turn a top half team into a 1 point from 9 matches team.

I agree. It’s the same for the other 19 teams. Not having that our fans made as much difference to what we’ve seen in empty stadiums.

It's been frustrating and at times we look way off,and in one or two games we haven't laid a glove on teams, but being in with a chance of a result in just about every game so far while struggling, and from what I have seen heads hadn't gone down, and we're still going for 90 minutes..even the Chelsea game we were in with a chance of a result up to 75 minutes at 2-1,plus players like Fleck and Moose back in contention is a positive, and hopefully we'll start to turn tight games into results.

I don't think Ramsdale has been a positive. A lot of goals conceded which I think have been borderline whether he should have done better or not. And some howlers at Chelsea.
Disappointing to be fair. I am always nervous that he's going to drop a bollock leaving the non existent strike force with the task of scoring two to get a result or even fucking one for a point. He's no better or worse than the rest, Egan, Baldock and Bash excepted.

Not once in 8 months have I had to suffer the stench of somebody else's Pukka pie mixed with last nights stale beer farts waft over my nostrils like a dead body left out in the sun. I miss the Kop, but its a proctologists gold mine on an early kick off.

Positives mmmmmm 🤔 the pigs look a shambles and they have hired dinosaur Pulis

Hes ok least of our problems

Dont think we would be in this position if we had a crowd.
Sorry but I don’t buy that, some of our supporters seem to think we’re exclusive or a genuine twelfth man, but we’re no different to any other club. All clubs and their fans are saying exactly the same, so this is a poor excuse. The home atmosphere last season was ok but nothing special, indeed it attracted plenty of criticism on here.
Opposition management may mention the hostile atmosphere here but that’s their spin and they say it at lots of other grounds too.
The last match that the crowd influenced positively was the Derby game Boxing Day when events conspired against us and the crowd turned against the officials and lampard and really backed United.
I remember the atmosphere under Bassett was electric that first season back but recently all grounds have lost that edge. The exceptions maybe Leeds and Birmingham. Fans are a different breed to 30 years ago, it’s a family crowd, which is wasn’t back then.
Let’s hope we do actually back the team when we’re next there whenever it is.
