Perhaps you could ask the "cowards" next weekend why they didnt?
lenners has had opportunities, as others have had via the fans forum thingy, to put questions directly to McCabe. He also has a chance at the forthcoming AGM on the 18th of this month. What questions in the past has he put to McCabe, given that he seems to know all the answers?

And what questions will lenners put directly to McCabe in the future given the opportunities that will present themselves?
fuck all tonight, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year....
And there you go.

And what good does that ever do, in any circumstances?

Whatever has happened has happened, and won't unhappen. The ONLY thing that matters is learning from the mistakes and moving on, not holding witch hunts about whose fault it was. That's just for bedwetters and sad bastards.

Are you going all Donald Rumsfeld on us?
And I am trying to encourage peeps to learn from their mistakes.
It's part of my educative role.

Well he won't, he's a coward. That's quite fitting really, given his latest unhinged accusation.

Why bother telling us? Why not tell the people who run the club? Why not let them have the benefit of your expertise? Why?

Because you seem all talk and no action. The limp excuse that the AGM is being held away from the club is just a smokescreen for you. You're as keen as mustard to tell all of us on this forum just how wise you are, but won't stand up and speak out to the board of the club when you have the opportunity. There'll just be another weaselly reason why you won't. Meeting at the hotel? Bollocks in a jar more like.

Educative role? What is the point in telling us you have all the answers or that you are very unhappy with the way the club is going when you won't voice your opinions to the people who run the club?

What exactly do you propose they could have done to positively effect the situation in speaking to Seth Bennett shortly after defeat to Barnsley and before any decision has been made regarding the position of Gary Speed?

They do indeed need to speak, but the time is as soon as possible next week, when the situation is resolved one way or another.

Perhaps you could ask the "cowards" next weekend why they didnt?

This isn't just about Gary free-flowing football, let's bang 'em in Speed, is it?
The whole handling of the managerial situation is just another symptom of the complete lack of leadership.
If we were going anywhere, the chairman would be clear, public and unequivocal about Speed's future and everything else.
Instead, we have a classic illustration of a club all at sea. They're probably excited about the prospect of the friendly which they can fit in around the Leeds one and use both to have a good look at our pick of the Spurs' youngsters coming through.

You see Shoreham, you see us spending millions on building a hotel and selling it to McCabe for a £1 and then holding our agm there as a weasely reason.
I see what's happened as a reason for me never setting foot in the place for anything at any time.
Any Blade setting foot in there from now on is a wee bit dotty.

The hotel building/selling fiasco is another point that could be raised with the board at the AGM. Any shareholder who has the opportunity to speak their mind and refuses to take that opportunity isn't a "wee bit dotty", they are simply cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Are you even a shareholder lenners? I've asked this before, and I'm asking again. I'm not, which is why I won't be going to the AGM.

Once again, having the opportunity to tell Kevin McCabe exactly what you feel, and to be honest there are a lot of us who feel the same way, you won't take the opportunity.
So telling us all that you are here to educate us is frankly patronising and more than a little annoying. Weaselly? Perhaps others can draw their own conclusions.

Shoreham, you're entitled to your opinion.
A boycott of the agm on the grounds of the venue would have a far greater effect than sitting listening to McCabe spouting some guff about banks, world recession, other clubs being unprepared (chuckle) etc, etc which he will to any question put his way.
That hotel is a monument to McCabe, not Sheffield United and I'm certainly not going to set foot in it or take part in any event which promotes its existence.

But surely putting your points to McCabe would have a far greater effect than not putting your points to McCabe?

Are you a shareholder anyway?

I don't think anyone putting any points to McCabe will make the slightest difference.
Protest might do, but questions at the agm, not at all.
And yes, I am. Why aren't you, aren't you a true Blade?...

Did you have a sore throat or something last time Lenners? :)

I'm sure they noticed your absence, Len, bound to have said, "Where's Len?"

No, I'm not a shareholder. That's why I'm not going to the AGM. As for not being a "true Blade", well, if that makes me different to you and not a "true Blade" then I'll live with that. I was unaware that your had a "Bladeometer" running, but you must have.

Anyway, if you are a shareholder then not going to the AGM must mean that you're not a "true Blade" either, because a "true Blade" would surely avail themselves of the opportunity to question the running of their club rather than having a hissy fit at one particular badly managed part of it. My "Bladeometer" reads "shareholder not going to AGM = not a true Blade either". Mind you, I got mine a long long time ago, so it might be a bit shady......

Winding you up Shoreham. I didn't need to be a shareholder to be a true Blade.

Ah, a joke. Perhaps the addition of a little "badadoom-tish" type caption would enable those of us with a normal sense of humour to get the "joke". Who writes your scripts? Syd Little?

No Alco, my point was that many fans were engaging in some delusion surrounding team planning up until the end of January when the bigger picture is what matters at SUFC.
We're facing a situation which could easily damage this club for a generation.
And I doubt the club is arguing about who's fault it is. I doubt very much our blessed board are doing fuck all tonight, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year...

Oooh this is me and everyone else that contributed to that thread. You clearly missed the entire point of that planning thread Lenners. It was a follow up, What did we do right and wrong in the summer, what can we do better between now and the end of January. It could come in useful to start the planning now so that we have every chance of doing what we can to stabilise the football side of the club, with or without resources.

Sorry I didn't get to see this earlier, so much seems to be happening at weekends, like a football match on Saturday in Barnsley (very close to Sheffield and a chance to support your team during a bad time Lenners), Obviously it was something quite important to Mr McCabe.

Top stuff? More Crap IMHO.

Who are the masses that think we're either well run or not in the shit? Even Dunc accepts that promotion isn't likely (:)).

Seriously, Len is so in need of an audience he's inventing a crowd to pick a fight with. It's totally pathetic from one with actually a fair bit to contribute.

We've got nothing to do than plan ahead. But Len is in real need to revel in the glory of the wheels falling off. Sad, but totally true.

UTB

Missed it - shit

You've not been yer sen recently Swiss, bad tempered and on a short fuse I reckon. You OK?

Maybe if McCabe gave us a team to watch the support would materialise again. Getting behind the side is now virtually impossible to all but the likes of you, Cooper and Foxy/Linz. There's too much bad blood between top brass and support now and the players are more joke figures than people we look up to and look forward to watching. McCabe has one last chance with the forthcoming appointment to salvage his reputation.

Sorry Swiss mi' old china, I got the point of the thread entirely - that it was pointless.
Didn't take long for my point to be proved either cocker.
Until and unless United get it sorted at the top, nowt else matters.

Sorry Lenners but if anything it now becomes MORE relevant.

Things at the top will either be sorted or they'll continue as they are, but in many ways if we have the stability from the manager down then there is a lot that can be done... See Blackpool for an example

Well, at least the cricket seems to be going okay...........................

Sorry but there will always be some of us supporting no matter what you say.

Only 4 supporters?

My choice your choice!

You're right Mic, been allowing myself to get wound up. I'm starting yoga in the new year, that should help :)

Getting behind the side now is more important to me, bit of a siege mentality really. The players let themselves down on saturday, but I don't really think that players who care can be seen as joke figures. There is just no direction on the pitch.

Oh how I wish Morgs were playing on Sat, the game cried out for him.

As for McCabe and his reputation, Speed for me is an unproven manager still and has hardly even put his mark on this team. I'll be disappointed with Speed when he gets announced as Wales manager tomorrow. So for me, McCabe has still only made one bad appointment, Robson.
