The issues.....

1) we signed Brewster - great as a development for the future, but we needed a forward who would make an immediate impact and improve the forward line....at present he is no better than what we have
2) Injuries - JOC and Mouse are the player we could least afford to lose...and have
3) This season - we have abandoned our attack minded pressing game

I feel a bit sorry for Brewster and McBurnie they get very little service and have to fight for scraps all the time. Hopeful lame crosses and punts into the middle, easy fodder for premier league defenders.

Brewster only touched the ball five times in the first half according to TV coverage.

I’m usually an upbeat supporter .....but Brewster is not, at present, a first team player

I'm glad we're not jumping to conclusions about Brewster. Good that we've given him plenty of time and loads of opportunities to prove himself before deciding he's no better than what we already had. I really worried that people might jump to conclusions, having only seen him play against champions league teams....

A 19 year old Michael Owen could've started up top for us today and has exactly the same impact as Brewster. We'd all be saying how he isn't ready....
