Player Suggestion Danny welbeck

Actually still a good player when occasionally fit. Would get game time for us. Would rather sign him on an appearance based contract than e.g. Wilshere.

Again though, seems very unlikely.

Why would he be our best striker on his day? He's scored 18 goals in 6 years. IMO he doesn't offer more than what we have. It's just the "He's played for two big teams he must be amazing"

Aye If hes fit he hasnt been for a long time

Did you watch Danny wellbeck at man united theres a reason Alex ferguson dropped rooney for him in the champions league

Shame hes got legs made of breadsticks same for Daniel sturridge

That was over 6 years ago. He hasn't been that player since then.

Danny de Vito
Stick him on the front post at corners, bout as high as we get the cross so would be perfect🤪

Pay as you play contract , with goal bonuses then yes

I’d rather have Dannii Minogue.

I’ve not the hang of this have I?

If Burke is injured, Didzy is out for up to 6 weeks, Mousset is injured to the extent he may not get included in the 25, do we look at this until Jan?

We've got Brewster, new to the club, could go either way, McBurnie out of scoring form and Billy at 33.

I would normally be against signing Wellbeck but if he is fit and could be taken in a short term deal then do we start to be open to this if McGoldrick is confirmed as out?

Pick a name out of a hat, any name, and give him a chance, or just take a punt - at the clubs (owners expense) - makes me want to cry at some peoples business acumen Lol

If Welbeck is the answer, what was the question?

Is Burke injured ? Missed that if he is.

If not we have Brewster, Burke, McBurnie and Sharp. Even that's not really enough so another striker is needed.

Theres only 2 options i feel as getting someone in from the championship will be far too expensive as a back up. So it's someone from the academy like Hackford or we take an older, more experienced, but probanly injury prone or on ridiculous wages type who may be disruptive . The options there would include Deeney, Sturridge et al

I'm minded to go for Hackford but wouldn't be averse to Deeney on the right contract.

What's the ETA on Moose? He might be getting back to training in November but realistically he's going to be ready around New Year I imagine.

I think we could do with a striker in to be honest, not sure about Hackford, no harm in including him but not sure he's the type we need.

A few academy breakthroughs would certainly take the pressure off

Good question. How long does a toe take to heal? If he's not in the 25 it must be the most severe big toe injury ever.

Billy turns 35 in Feb!

He is in decent shape for his age but is only going to get slower and isn't top flight level as much as we'd like him to be.

So yes I would also like to see another attacker come in but don't know what is left of our budget if we've still got one that is.

I'll happily take that Bantz Silent Blade
But, your post does give me the chance to explain that I'll not be showing any interest in, & certainly no excitement for, any SUFC Academy players who step up into the current half paced, snot test, no one is interested, made for TV, endless friendlies that I understand are happening at the moment. Maybe it is a good time to play youngsters, no pressure on them, the results don't matter - but - we'll see. I hear on the grapevine that "we're" still moaning like fuck about all sorts of shit. But it's not for me at the moment. I've moved on. And, I'll move back again when football is back. Snot Test permitting

Looks very good for Brighton tonight 🙂🙂
Didn't score though. We've got enough non-scoring strikers without adding an expensive one into the mix.
