Just a post I thought I’d make.

Our lass is giving birth to our son jack in 7 weeks. Went down to the blades shop in Meadowhall and got loads of stuff for him. I buy a program for every game while no fans are allowed and watch up the pub and treat it as normal match day as poss just watching on tv. Give the blades every penny I can atm in different ways to going. Why?. Coz I love them. Just thought I’d post this. UTB stay safe and well all

Wishing you and your missus a safe delivery of young Jack.

If it's your first.....no more treating lockdown matches like matchdays for youuuuuuuuu!

Thanks pal. No I definitely won’t be treating match days as normal. Haha. UTB.

Short of signing young Jacks junior ISA over to the club I did similar with my two lads. Then they vote to charge me £15/game for not being able to go to watch live matches. They’ll screw you blind and you’ll keep taking it up the bum, wait while you’re doing playoff finals at Wembley, that’s a thousand quid a pop at least and £60 a shirt every Christmas and the second shirt for birthdays.

Why? Cos you love them”? Nah, wait while young Jack pops out, that’s when you’ll understand what love is M325. Then he‘ll eventually screw you for every penny you can earn and once again you’ll take it up the bum just to spend time with him.

It‘s the Blades way and it’s a Dads way. All the best to you and your upcoming family.

No mate don’t agree with this. I work and my son will be my world. I’m just saying I love the blades as well I mentioned buying a programme and some bits in a good way.

I don’t normally get in to this but I know the value of money and priorities my wife and son come first as well as my mortgage bills etc. I give the blades what I can afford in terms of programme money etc atm few bits in the shop.

This is a post meant in good nature no one ever has or will screw me over. My son will get one shirt the home games etc I can afford etc etc.

I just wanted to clear this up I know about life, priorities etc. I didn’t think a post I made/thread I started would get that sort of response so incase anyone misinterpreted what I had I meant.

Just talking about giving the club a few quid here and there.

Cheers

Just posted again mate in response to your message. Cheers pal.

Cheers Mike, I think you are preaching to the choir here though with it being a Blades forum and all ;)

... but you enjoy being part of both of them I bet !

Well its a generation thing to me, My great grandad moved here from Scotland and started going to The Lane in 1889 - so I'm 4th generation from him and my grandkids who love the Blades 6th generation
Its the Blades way, its in the blood

Mike325 good luck with the little one and enjoy every moment, he'll be leaving school/home before you know it and you'll be wondering where those years went. Going through the same with my Grandkids now, doesn't feel 5 minutes since they were born and they will soon be 5 and 4.
