Absolute nonsense, the teams are the same teams, apart from the 3 teams that got promoted but they played in the Championship last season. Norwich won the league with more points than Leeds.

You keep telling yourself it's everyone else playing better though and not us playing worse.

Again go through the league and look who is better this season compared to last season

We have stood still while the majority have gone forward thats why were bottom of the league

Based on what we've seen so far I'd say Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Wolves, Man Utd and Burnley look worse.

And Fulham and WBA are collectively worse than Norwich and Watford were last season.

So only Burnley in the bottom half havent improved.

Were not in the same league as those other teams in reality

The prem is the Top 10 then the rest is everyone fighting for survival from that bottom half , the majority have improved we haven't at the moment anyway

It's a subjective matter, how can I possibly do that?!

I like to think I'm level headed and a reasonable bloke okay miserable as fuck, when I come on here and read the doom and gloom from some Blades I often contemplate nipping to bathroom and getting t'old cutthroat razor out.

It's still too early to fully tell who has significantly improved.

Our record signing hasn't even played for us yet.

Following on from the 3 defeats at the end of last season and the 4 already this season, then the Fulham game is a must not lose game with the next 3 games after that are against Liverpool, City and Chelsea. It's a real possibility that it would stretch the "run" to 11 and makes me wonder if it would be our worst ever run of defeats in our history. I also think that our season could become impossible to turn around. I'm not being negative as i believe we have a good set of players but we must get at least a draw on Sunday to give the lads a bit of a lift with the games to come.

Do you lie awake at night thinking of how to top the last troll post you did?

One that's better than before?
I'm not being negative

You ae indeed being negative - the whole post of full of negativity - the what if's based entirely around negativity.

You're very good you know - have a think about that one.

I do wish people would stop adding 3 dead rubber games from last season to the 4 defeats we have suffered in this current season. Last time I looked points from a previous season do not count in a current season in any league in the world.

True, but they do count towards a run of defeats in stats. At the moment it is record equalling.

My post is actually asking the question of the possibility of us losing 11 games in a row. What's up? Are you one of those who buries his head in the sand at the thought of something happening that you can't deal with? Is it wrong for me to bring up the importance of us avoiding defeat against Fulham to break up this wretched run? If "what if" scares you then keep away from football discussions.

I dont buy into the last 3 games being of any relevance whatsoever on this season and I'm sure Wilder and the team won't. Too many things have changed, there's new teams in the league, new players in other teams, new managers, new players in our team, there's even new shitty rules we have to worry about now. After we won our last 6 or 7 games in league 1 I never thought for a minute we were unbeatable and going to carry on that form and wipe the floor with the next 7 teams we came up against in the championship. Things will look better for us by the end of November im convinced of it.

Plenty of us were wanting us to go that whole 12 months last year without losing away. We just fell short but it did span 2 seasons, as do the first 3 in the run of 7 defeats.
Well, I know what I'm trying to say.

How long do we say that for? I'm sure Watford/ Bournemouth thought the same. Face it we've had a bad start and if we dont pick up and get back to our old ways we're facing a relegation battle

I like many have gone through every good and bad start since 1970 we didn't show all this oh woe is me crap, in 1990 we went 16 games without a win 13 defeats I believe, and yet we stayed up don't give up on them yet. You mention Watford they had was it 4 managers players cannot adopt to that kind of change and never recovered from the cup final mauling, Ballmouth have always been consistent in PL but last season they let complacency slip in.

So by your reckoning Man Utd and City are also in this relegation battle with us as they've both had shit starts.

Not true at all, we were in for a european spot so they were far from dead rubbers.

Are we talking at cross purposes here?

The ony relevence is that 3 defeats at the end of last season count as part of a run of 7 consecutive league defeats.

The real importance is on the psychology of continuously losing. That is the real problem.

The biggest factors in that run of form haven't changed though. We're still playing poorly and there's still no fans (one drives the other in my opinion).

Why stop at 11? We have some tricky fixtures coming up after the Chelsea game too. I wouldn't rule out 38 consecutive defeats.

I would like to predict two things here and now,
1/
if we don't win or draw a game between now and the end of the season, not only will we be out of all cup competitions, we will also go down..
2/
I will still be, as I have been for most of my life, a happy clapper BLADE, and still a big fan of CW/AK...

I don't think we will go down and I'll stick by my prediction that we will finish higher than last season.....

You're not from Liverpool are you?

Look at how we played second half today and I think that will make you realise we're in a relegation battle. Holding on at the end against Fulham at home, probably the weakest in the division

I don't like admitting it fella seen too many as it is but today we were bullied by Fulham, that cannot continue and yes I concede that this year will be an almighty slog in bottom 6 or 8 which we will be in. I am still trying to work our how McBurnie missed the point blank header, sod good save he should have been picking it out of net.
