I think i echo your thoughts, we played the best football in league 1 and champ under wilder. When we try and play the same way in the prem we actually do well but we have this small team mentality that reverts to smashing long balls instead. We need more composure/swagger in our play. We arent going to defend our way to wins.

wilder is to blame, he’s the best manager we have ever had in my lifetime but hes not exempt from criticism. Be more positive!

Got to be worth trying our old Championship formation with Didzy in the Duffy role or even better a new signing tomorrow And start playing attacking football again.

Stick with this formation and we will go down without a whimper.

We clearly felt we needed John Swift at the start of this transfer window, yet we’ve signed everything but a creative midfielder. I don’t understand why that’s changed.

I love Wilder, but his signings apart from Brewster this season have confused me.

I'd rather see us challenging in the Championship than watching this cr@p - all we seem to do since post-lockdown is hang on in there. desperate stuff and certainly NOT entertaining
Stuff the cash ££££
Mate honestly, if you’d rather see Championship football you need to give your head a wobble.

We’re playing some good stuff even now and it’s far more entertaining watching us compete against the best players in the world then the likes of Wednesday.

We’re not having anything go for us at the moment and that’ll never change with refs continuing to favour the big clubs. Nowt we can do about that.

But I’d rather be watching this than Championship football every day of the week.

We are not playing good stuff, we have moments when we look like we might play good stuff.

Then when we do have our moments, we do fuck all with them.

After reading this post I thought I needed to reply following the blades for 49 years I've never been so proud of my team over the past 4 year's since Chris and Alan walked through our doors. So why should some people start turning there backs on them. We have 34 games left for God sake and I can't think of anyone else I would want to be in charge of our beloved blades then these two. Yes it's been a crap start and we all have opinions and ideas on here which I value from all blades but fucking in hell let's take a step back and watch what unfolds UTB

We might aswell challenge in championship with players we have bought since we've come up

I dont think anyone isn't fiercely proud of the club, the team, and the management. That's a given after a the great times they have given us recently.

That said, it is only normal to be concerned about losing 7 PL games on the bounce and how negatively we have played for a while now. No one's calling for CW head, that would be ridiculous. But there is nothing wrong in calling it as we see it and stating criticism if people think its merited.

I love CW. But he's also been partly responsible for the last 7 straight defeats with how negative we have been inost of those games. He needs to give himself a shake as well as the team.

We are playing the worst football in the prem, fact, dull, boring and predictable, wilder needs to be more adventurous and pick the younger players with pace, who will actually trouble the opposition

My opinion for what it’s worth is that it is likely to get worse before it gets better. Before we get too out of control losing at Arsenal is not entirely unexpected is it.
Other than Fulham the next few games don’t look great but the truth is we have to face the top teams twice and we have a clump of them in one go. Last season we won a lot of our points in close games and so far this season it’s going the other way. It can just as easily change our way.
No one surely thought we’d be as successful this year did they? Whether or not it is unambitious I felt that 17th would still be progress in establishing ourselves. We have climbed through the leagues remarkably quickly after six years becalmed in league one with no money and in truth this has left the club behind both in finances and infrastructure. Season by season we can improve that and survival this season helps with that.
There’s plenty of teams who have got off to a slow start and ultimately we only need to be better than three of them. Far too soon to lose our shit in my opinion.

We'd struggle in the Championship playing like we are!!!!

We won't be playing as badly as this for the rest of the season. The international break has arrived at the right time. CWAK have now time to take stock and adapt. Not expecting too much over the next month, but convinced the team will get the confidence back to finish mid table. Keep the faith.

Overlapping that we seem to be doing very little of.
I do think that we are really missing JOC. Our overlapping centre backs were a key part of our game last season (as well as the promotion year). Jack Robinson has done OK but he is not as good as JOC either as a defender and he certainly doesn't have his ability to go forward like Jack. We have seen that Bash still does it (though not as much perhaps as last year) evidence the Villa game and penalty. If the opposition doesn't have to worry about us overlapping on our left that makes things a lot easier for them. May be we have to rethink the 3 5 2 formation or possible paly Ampadu LCH. Trouble with that is he's not I believe left footed.

Today we were undone by 2 outstanding goals that would have probably been scored against most PL sides. Individually Arsenal were always going to be better than us and Arteta has now got them playing as a team as well.

It hurts to lose 4 on the trot but we have been undone in the other 3 games by 6 minutes of madness against Wolves, a ridiculous sending off and missed penalty against Villa Who really only created one chance themselves, and Leeds who had we taken our chances we would have been 2-0 up and cruising instead of chasing the game and being caught out (and playing without Egan). Refereeing decisions haven't helped either.

No need to panic yet but we need to get some points from somewhere soon!

Chris Wilder has got Super Brewster who is more direct for us. I have friends who are Liverpool season ticket holders.they are not happy ay all with Klopp selling him.
Lightning pace can score with either foot and can head as well. I hope Brewster can hit the ground running. we won.t be in the bottom three much longer.

2 outstanding goals? A free header on the back post and allowing the left footer to come inside to score? Basic defending. We were absolutely woeful today.

Need to have a look where our strikers received the ball today and ask yourself how Brewster will make the difference. No high quality chances created, no courage on the ball. I’m a huge supporter of this team and always ask for context but that today was fucking awful...no excuses.

McGoldrick slow-Super Brewster lightning Speed and anticipation.tactics changed we will be ok.
In Wilder we trust.

Have we thrown the PL towel in after 4 games?

one of highest spending clubs and today we looked like our old L1 selves

owners have done their bit

fans can’t do theirs

Im guttered but please, wishing we were back int championship? Get a feckin grip yer pansies
