baffling

Signs players who cant get a game when the likes of Stevens and lunny (among others) have been shite for months.

Freeman - never had a chance when he did it was off the bench
Robinson - played 16 games for us
Lowe - not played
Bogle - not played
Verrips - not played
Fodderingham - not played

How hes convinced the board to pay 23.5m for brewster I will never know. His track record is BAD.

Hmm.

His team selections are a little bit frustrating simply for the fact that I would do something different. It’s not like he’s trying to sabotage the team though is it. You can justify every decision he makes sensibly.

Transfers wise:

I’ll give you Freeman. That one frustrated me. The rest:

Robinson - didn’t fit the system at all. Made a profit on him.
Lowe - we signed him 2 weeks ago. Excellent value. If your point is ‘should be starting’ doesn’t that make him a good signing?
Bogle - likewise. 20 years old. Going to be around for a long time.
Foderingham and Verrips are backup keepers mate. Cost nothing, play in the cup games. What exactly were you expecting?

I notice you don’t mention any of his incredible transfers in that list? Or the fact he invented a completely innovative and fluid system using his ‘baffling’ team selections.

It’s okay to criticise but please, have some fucking respect.
 
Rarely agree with the op. But he's bang on. All those players we've signed and they've barely played any football. Makes you wonder what the point is in buying them if we insist on using players who are hideously out of form or quite honestly, not up for the job.
 
Must admit I’m losing patience with Stevens he’s lost his attacking threat and cheap in possession also not great defensively I question some of the money/transfers but I said other day with fixtures in October it’s going to get worse before it gets better at this rate
 
In at the 60 min mark of a game again I see.
I'd hate to see the world through such negative eyes. If that's the approach you wish to take, is it too much to ask to balance it out with the occasional positive thought about United?

Which, to be fair, is giving him plenty of scope to post them at present with 7 on the trot

Possibly time to see what Bogle and Lowe can add as Baldock and Stevens have lost their attacking intent which effectively means we are playing with 6 at the back every game including Ramsdale
 
I’m not one to question Wilder but I do feel after watching today’s game we need to stick Enda or even Lowe in at LCB.

Robinson is solid, and has a long throw but our whole system breaks down because he’s too cautious and doesn’t attack enough. His lack of attacking confidence was evident today in the fact 90% of his passes went backwards.

Ramsdales weakness is his kicking and Robinson just kept passing it back to him.
 
Our midfield is awful at the minute not one ounce of creativity in it. It’s crying out for someone to get hold of it and run at teams, make something happen. This along with 2 strikers should of been our priority this window, not players to be on bench or not even in squad.

Think we need to put this into balance

When buying footballers it’s always a gamble, but the more you pay the smaller the gamble is.
Brewster and Greenwood are separated by months in age. One cost £23m, the other would be nearer £100m because he has played and scored in the premier, thus reducing the gamble factor
Due to the budgets we have, we have to gamble on players coming off, most do, some don’t
- all mentioned positively and negativity are arguably correct.

Ferguson bought Djemba Djembe and Forlan
Pep signed John Stones ffs!

We are on a shit run, no doubt

We have conceded 6 goals in 4 losses, 1 more than Man City conceded in 90mins v Leicester

We will come good , or are you now doubting the Blade that fltook is from L1 to the premier league?

I do think we’ll turn it around. But I do think Wilder may have needed today to see we need to change things up a bit. That 4-3-1-2 we ended with could be a game changer.

Maybe now is the time to bring Lowe and Bogle in. Maybe now is the time to get Didz back in the 10 position to get us on the front foot again. If we want to get the best of Rhian Brewster then we need to get back to some attacking verve again.
 
I wouldn't question his signings as such but for me we had no control in midfield again today and couldn't keep the ball for any sustained period apart from the last 10 minutes when the game was already gone.

I'm not sure what Norwood has done wrong, but Wilder seems to be intent on picking Berge in that role. While I like Berge and he's going to be a good player for us, for me he's not got enough urgency in his play, slows the game down and we lose Norwoods set piece ability. I like Osborn but he's not an in form Fleck. Don't know what's happened to Fleck but his form seems to have deserted him, however he's not going to find it on the bench. If anything I think we should be persisting with Berge on the right side instead of Lundstram, although he was ok today.
 
Sorry but CW has to be accountable for today. He has had enough time and evidence to see that we need to change it and start having a threat up top when it's still nil nil. He still hasn't addressed that.

7 straight PL defeats. No one but himself to look at this time.
