At best it may have been an enquiry to ask when is he fit again, is he available etc. Can't see more than that, but you can never rule it out completely either. I think had he been fit this pre-season and someone come in with an offer we were happy with then I think he may well have been off, especially if the offer was a French club which would, presumably, have suited the Moose more.

Everyone loves to get the pitchforks out for Moose but it's a fact, ability wise he is our best goalscorer and biggest attacking threat

He had a lot of issues last season, off-field ones and the obvious recurring fitness issues
