Oli Burke

He has great vision with some of the balls he puts through, pity we cant get on the end of it and slot it home. Quite like him. Could be one of those to watch when he finds his shooting boots.

Also a bit off topic but did Lundstram look pissed off when he was subbed. He said something to one of the staff as he walked to the stand they just shrugged their shoulders.

Needs to learn how to be a striker, I think our freedom and allowance of players switching positions will be good for him though.

I doubt we'll score many with Burke and McGoldrick starting. Neither are out and out strikers. I can see it as a good option against the top teams where we're only likely to counter but it seems odd against team we fancy our chances against.

Did they have one shot each today?

I think he would be able to actually get onto some of McBurnie's headers. I've lost count of the number of times Oli wins the ball in the air and Sharp is stationary.

Was it along the lines of,
Crap, now we need a striker and a CB .
I asked for more money but I missed a pen and a sitter in the last two games. No money left for me then!

I was underwhelmed to be honest. But i was cooking and watching the game so may have missed some nuance
Didn't look that bad, touched the ball and chased it in their box, so good. Can't still see why C. Robinson couldn't have done the same, with the bonus that he might even have scored.

I think he is excellent (so far) and looks capable of intricate play in the box to pick out a man; something we lack

Thought Burke was decent.....not great but not bad either.
He offers something we don’t have up front... pace and running with the ball...so he’s a good addition to the squad.

He's not a striker. Surprised how clever his passing is though, we were led to believe he was headless chicken. If Wilder considers changing to a front 3 he is perfect for that, playing as a 9 or a 10 isn't his strength
