Just logged in and clicked on this thread out of morbid curiosity. Can’t remember the last time I looked.....is this still lingering?!

Sign or do one. So so boring.

Anyway I signed him on loan in 7 days on Football Manager so it’s not that hard 😄
Is he any good??

I was just wondering, as you do. If he signs, will this be the first 200 page plus thread, that’s had a positive outcome? 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s not inconceivable it could get to 300 if they don’t get their finger out!

Is this the only deal where the managers chat about it over a pint? Why is Wilder and Klopp involved, unless it's purely a loan deal and that's it?

Wilder last said he'd left it with the guys upstairs.

Maybe he is going to Villa after all
Transfer window shuts on 5th October
Villa play Liverpool on 4th October
Liverpool draw out the transfer so their player can't start and inevitably score against them?

Klopp insisted on a German wheat lager. Wilder insisted on Peroni. These things are delicate and tense.

I want him onboard in time for Leeds.
Just some kind of mental boost for the fans and probably the players.

I know our squad won't be as pessimistic as our fans are right now but Leeds are stealing our Pashun and momentum from last season and without a packed Lane Sunday a signing or 2 could really kick-start our belief again.

SHIRLEY Brewster is signing for us this morning... Despite a serious lack of grainy photos or any local sightings.

Thought it was 12pm Friday for the weekend (+Monday) games?

it is, 1 hour and 15 mins to get that paperwork in.

there’s often a lunch time kick off Saturday, can’t be registering players minutes before kick off can ya.

Down to the deadline?

yeah, potentially it will. Working so hard, it’s not an easy situation and we need to get someone in which I have said all along. We need to get it right. We are not like any other club in this division in terms of picking a phone up, making the call and we sign it off. It’s just not the same. I understand that and we get on with it.

Ball with other clubs?

I would say so. We have a decision as a football club above me. Always three main players in signing a player, the player does he want to come? The selling club do they want to let him go and at what price? And the buying club are they prepared to go to that price? These all have to happen. I have identified players and there are things that need to happen from an negotiation point of view above me.

from wilders press conference this morning

Wilder this morning at pre match press conference, on Brewster/Balogun:

“Not really comfortable. It’s difficult to sit here and say we haven’t made enquiries.

I am uncomfortable talking about other players. We have enquired about a number of players and hopefully we will get one over the line.

It’s an area from last year on reflection where we need to improve and get better quality in that group, especially with Lys not being available”

Basically having a bit of a moan that our procrastination on a striker is going to cost us in the long run. As much as we moan about Villa and Fulham, at least they set their sights on a target and get it done quickly. We'll fuck about for weeks and then end up signing a 2nd/3rd choice when it goes tits up.

What type of queue is it though? Is it that we're on the phone listening to "You'll Never Walk Alone" interrupted by a Scouse voice saying "Your call is important to Klopp, please hold the line. You are currently 'Number One' in the queue."
Or are we at the front, but with a trolley, and the security guard won't let us enter?

Bettis has turned up with 6 others and so they won't let them all in.

The scouse bouncer is currently being asked if he's heard of anyone called Khashoggi.....

Oh there are definitely speed advantages from not really caring what you’re spending, no denying that.

If he's out of price range we should have moved on by now. Liverpool aren't likely to suddenly drop their expectations and sell him to us for a song are they?

I personally don't think he's worth upwards of £20m, we bought a top scorer from Swansea and he has an hilarious thread with part of his name substituted for 'shitty' on this forum.

There can't only be this lad and some unknown kid from Arsenal available to score goals in the whole of world football surely?!

Doesn't sound promising
