Agent touting him about I reckon. He's not the type of striker we need or want, we have target men and hold up players already. He doesn't score many too and he's 29. Brewster and Balogun are examples of the type we want - young, quick, technically good and relatively skilful who can give us an injection of individual quality at the top of the pitch.
 
The player likes the idea of playing in the Premier League, so not bothered about the huge wages then ?!
 
Marca newspaper in Spain are reporting that Sheffield United are considering a bid for Real Mallorca striker Ante Budimir (29). Real Valladolid are also in the hunt but their offer is not enough (only €4m). Ante wants to play in the Euros for Croatia and believes a move to England could help him achieve this. The frontman scored 13 goals in the Spanish top flight last season

They want £13.5 million
Valladolid have offered £4 million

So we'll offer £3.5 million because somebody said he wants to play in the Premier League

We'll fuck about for the next 12 days until the rest of the Premier League is alerted to the situation and we'll miss out to Burnley or West Brom
 
I was trying to work out if there was a joke or pun in the name like JuanP or Moron, but I can’t see it unless Budimir is Serbo-Croat slang for no bloody money.

Too true. Look like Brewster's not coming and we arse around looking for as 'Surralan' once said Carlos Kickaball.

The lack of bringing in forward fire power is the one thing CWAK should be answerable for, since it was plainly obvious last season that scoring goals was a problem. Not been addressed yet apart from losing £7m on a forward not up to it and 'acquiring' a replacement whose track record is not brilliant.

It may well have been addressed in terms of lining up potential signings but you can't force clubs to sell and you can't force players to sign.

Unless you chuck daft money at them which we can't afford to do ... yet

Nor would anybody in their right mind want the club to do that just now

Without goals we're going down
We got where we are with a quality defense, not what we did in the final third.
The defense now looks like it's going to drop a major bollock in every game and the same forwards can't score goals, again.

The Premier League costs money, we we're lucky we got here without spending, but to stay here we have to compete.

Wilder is full of these quotes "We won't overpay", "we won't put the club at risk" "We won't get involved in a free for all auction"

But you only have to look at him, you only have to listen to him to see how pissed off he is that Sheffield United are taking the "we don't belong here so we'll try to blag it" approach.

Am not suggesting they would but its hardly a problem thats been created overnight is it? Were we not the third or fourth lowest scorers last season. Surely that should have been flagged up by February. Been plenty of time to act. I'd consider it more important than the two Derby lads tbh.

Mousset has been in/out for whatever reason and McBurnie hardly been a Brian Deane has he (who scored 13 goals in his first season in the top flight).

I wouldnt say the latter, but.... we have by all accounts had to fork out for the ground and training improvements.
