Well I'm baffled....

They make me laugh threads like this, where it's left to the reader to try and understand what the point of the OP actually is.
My guess is OP reckons that if we win 5-0 at Villa, the knee-jerkers will be out in force to say it's nailed on we'll qualify for Europe, a week after claming we'll get relegated after the 2-0 loss v Wolves....

Am I close?.................. if so, then why not say that?

Is it not that if we win 5-0 tomorrow, we'll actually be in a Europa League place?

I'll be honest, I haven't looked at the table to confirm that.

Although a 5-0 either way is highly unlikely, presumably a 5-0 in favour of the home team is shorter odds than a 5-0 away win. A 5-0 win for Villa would, of course, put us bottom of the league.

As it is, I fancy that it'll be 2 or 3-0 to Villa. Watkins is surely bolted on for at least 1 goal tomorrow.

Not a great time to be playing a club on the up that appears to be capitalising on its extreme good fortune last season; that has signed players to improve its first-team; and has unexpectedly retained arguably the best English creative midfielder in the league. I don't expect Villa to struggle at all this season.

I think I'm correct in saying that 4-0 would be good enough. We would just need Crystal Palace to win the FA cup.

Your memorys not that great then, because the blades never beat Chester when they had Rush. Won 6-1 in 1988 tho

To be fair I didn't start going until 85 so I remember the 6-1 but had to look up the rest to verify that you've gone senile!
