why don’t we have any money?
Because:-why don’t we have any money?
Because we've already spent it onwhy don’t we have any money?
I also hope you’re wrong but fear you may be right. The only glimmer is that Wolves have come in for Ox and the money received may allow Pool to loan rather than sell.Atm, I'm struggling to find the reasons why I believe he'll sign for us
I know that he's more likely to start with us, over perhaps Villa, but at Palace he could be a regular, especially if Zaha moves on.
I hear CW saying that we have a list of other targets should the two he's shown his hand with not work out. This makes me think Brewster arriving is a big doubt. CW doesn't appear positive at all.
Hope I'm wrong.
Maybe other teams have more confidence in the strikers they already have?Odd then that no one seems willing to pay then isn’t it? I’d suggest it’s not such a bargain and every fucker in the game doesn't quite rate him as highly as you do?
Zaha is a winger ,Brewster is a number nineAtm, I'm struggling to find the reasons why I believe he'll sign for us

Tells You we are skint we get offered him but no we want a loan we will miss out due to no ambition. Frustrating
Which is probably why there was a 3 to 2 split in the board on the purchase of the Derby lads. This is a genuine question...should we have spent the c£7M on the 2 fullbacks this season (don’t get me wrong I am over the moon we have them) knowing Ampadu and Oz provide good cover and rather used this money to stretch ourselves for a quality striker? The evidence suggests we are a few quid short (by how much no one knows) but I personally think the priority should have been a striker.

Then again, almost everyone seems to suggest we have that quality striker already? Certain McBurnie, I mean. This is a genuine question...should we have spent the c£7M on the 2 fullbacks this season (don’t get me wrong I am over the moon we have them) knowing Ampadu and Oz provide good cover and rather used this money to stretch ourselves for a quality striker? Sourcey!!we have already agreed a fee it’s just the structure of the payment, initial payment and buyback etc that is taking the time in agreeing.
Bloody hell, I forgot RamsdaleBecause we've already spent it on
Berge last January
Two lads from Derby on a split decision by the board.
Robinson/Burke is a contra transaction.
New contracts for several existing players.
Our pot is limited and whilst I have no idea what is left in it I can see plenty of places where it has been spent.
I don't think we're brassic but I do think we need to be thrifty.
If signing one player for £25m would guarantee PL survival I'm sure we could do it but unfortunately football just doesn't work that way, ask Fulham!

I'm normally in the "show some ambition" camp but not spending 25m on someone as unproven as Brewster is a very reasonable position.
We did need proper cover at Fullback - and I think even if they aren’t starting if they bring an increased level of competition for baldock and Stevens and improve their game it will be worth it. They are also long term solutions for us and who can grow with us.
Playing devils advocate - this transfer window will probably come down to Brewster or ramsdale. Obviously we need a keeper LT, but perhaps a solution might have been to wait and sort that one on loan with say a hendo / Martinez or Romero type (I’ve no idea who was actually available) while securing Brewster.

I don't think it's a lack of ambition. Wilder has said, he won't spend money that the club doesn't have. He wants to protect the future of the club and build slowly. This is entirely sensible. Particularly during a pandemic.
