Can't see his wages being astronomical.. I'd guess around 30k a week. Think we definitely need one perm in, weather that's Brewster, Dennis or a target nobodys thought of yet.

I don’t know - you’d imagine his agent will be looking at the fee and what the likes of villa would be paying Watkins and he’ll be a after a fair amount.

Sick of this Mousset nonsense, he will never ever be fit his body makes it physically impossible. He is an impact player last 20 minutes at best. We need someone to do 90 minutes

It's not nonsense. It's quite a realistic opinion.

File "Mousset will never be good enough" next to "Coutts will never be good enough", "Billy legs have gone and he won't score Championship goals", "Basham is never a bloody defender!" etc etc etc.

Us Blades love writing players off.

The plot thickens.

I see he got his account back. It was deleted a while back. The fact this supposed 'retired' journalist pins all tweets he gets right says a lot. His approach seems to be throw enough shit at the wall, some of it will stick and any that slides down and stains the carpet, you just say "things change."

We can only play 2 starting strikers. we don’t need / can’t afford to hold 6 20m pound options.

Makes sense to have a Couple of main men / couple of older guys like mcgoldrick And sharp in and around / options like mousset or Burke who can change a game.l or offer something different seems like a good blend.

No point worrying if we have to get a player in on loan in the short term.

He is perfectly good enough, his body just makes it impossible for him to ever be fully fit.

Think I read he was on 10k at Liverpool currently

He's on 10k currently based on the leak from earlier in the year.

We only have 1 striker that seems to play more often than not that is premier league quality and that is McBurnie.

It smacks of a Hulse situation all over again and we all know how that turned out, everyone could see it a mile off that we needed to invest in better quality of strikers alongside Hulse but we never did and it cost us dearly.

We need to invest especially as next summer we will need to replace Sharp and McGoldrick.

I don’t really get the annoyance at a potential loan rather than permanent deal for Brewster – it sort of screams of some scrambling around for something to moan about after a week of good news.

As for planning ahead of next summer, the EFL deferred payment they received means that a lot of Championship sides will be faced with the reality of having to sell top talent. I suspect we’d be looking to pick up some excellent deals in that window, and we’ll at that stage also be in a better place to judge what we need based on how the rest of the strikers have done in the first half of the season.

He's had really impactful 60 min spells this season, he isn't in the Nade mould of fitness. I think his attitude might be the bigger barrier. Quality competition could help, or could make him lose interest altogether, bit of an enigma.

Erm I'd really like to see the scientific evidence behind that statement as, unless he has an actual physical disability, then no one is incapable of getting fit enough with the right will, diet and training plan especially at his age.

His fitness is the issue and its not because hes lazy, his body wont let him do what he can do for the full 60-90 mins we need

Don't get the annoyance have you seen the state of our strikeforce.

From what i was told his muscle fibres dont recover at a quick enough speed, therefore constantly training and playing he never has enough time to recover from one weekend to the next so is never 100% fit

But he has done it for 60 minutes. For us. Last season.

Not 90 granted, but better than 20.

Eh? Have a look through every club of our size last season and see how many loaned young players from the 'big clubs'. This is the same at home and abroad.

That Henderson loan was bloody awful business for us.

If he scores goals, then a loan is a good signing. If he doesn't, then it's a bad signing.
And for every Henderson there is a woodburn and James Wilson.I just think we are in desperate need of a striker to hit the ground running.

A player of his quality wont be wank he is a quality young player with the potential to go to the top.

There are no guarantees with any signing, I bet Bournemouth thought Ibe and Solanke were going to be future superstars.

Better get rid of Sharp and McGoldrick too then

Just to be absolutely clear:
I don't know anyone whomsoever associated with Sheffield United Football Club
I don't know anyone who follows one of our immediate (PL) rivals for Brewster's signature
I don't know / associate with any Scousers (thankfully)
I never have (& never will) read, let alone believed anything that is in any way published, linked, associated with intimated by alluded to by the Murdoch press (sic)
I am wholly incompetent in all aspects of 'social media' & pay fuck all attention to arsebook, twatter or thicktoc

I can tell you's:-
We may or may not sign Brewster
It may or may not be a permanent transaction (with or without a 'buy back' clause)
He may be shite or outstanding ( or somewhere between) if /when he wears a Sheffield United jersey
If / when it is apparent that said association football player does not intend / is prevented from donning said Sheffield United jersey (in any form of competitive fixture) employees engaged by said Football Club to recruit appropriate / necessary personnel will seek to secure an alternative Association Football player whom, in their considerable experience, will meet the needs / requirements they themselves have identified and that will benefit Sheffield United Football Club - (nigh on) universally recognised as being a goal scoring 'forward'

Sheffield United Football Club are scheduled to embark upon a second (consecutive) season competing in the 'Premier League' in approximately 2 hours (without engaging the services of someone to fully occupy the above described / documented 'vacancy')

Sorted ( for now) ?
