How was he disruptive exactly? Much like Freeman, he was signed for a system we didn’t really use and up against an extremely settled team. He wasn’t criticised by Wilder at any stage – the opposite in fact.
Not just referring to Morrisons time with us.

But the manner in which he has left, the fact he played so little, was kept out of squads, his own comments via Twitter - no one is telling me he was an angel and was always a positive influence.

Let’s put Robbo down as another mistake at the top of the pitch, for whatever reason.

Hopefully it wasn’t an expensive one !!

Some cruel reports about him really. He would have been found out by now if he was tactically thick.Still involved with the Scotland squad and Clark doesn't seem the kind of coach who would put up with fools.
Wilder is a shrewd operator and the deal will be loaded in Blades favour so let's have a good look at him could be a winner.
Coached by Jack Lester at Forest so he no doubt spoke to Wilder about him.

He doesn’t come across as the most confident of people.
Could be that is what he needs, CW says that he has all the attributes to make him a quality player, I can see our team working with him to bring him on in very much the same way that they did with Lundstram and any other player who was prepared to listen.
Can only be a positive to swap or swap plus cash for Robinson, who came across as a nice guy but unfortunately nesh and did not have that turn of speed or ruthlessness required to be a top striker

So basically, not really based on anything concrete, and on an interpretation of social media. It was a punt that didn’t work out – it happens. It doesn’t mean he was a disruptive influence – can you actually point to any examples of that suggesting he was any more of a disruption than anyone else in the squad?

The below is incidentally from an article today in the Athletic:

There is also a degree of mitigation when it comes to Morrison’s inability to make a favourable impression at Sheffield United last season. This time, there were no disciplinary problems and, if anything, a fair amount of evidence that he is a more rounded and mature individual, whose behaviour has dramatically improved in the last few years. The problem was straightforward: Wilder had a settled side and a preferred formation that did not require a No 10, Morrison’s usual position.

But has anyone signed Morrison or is his undoubted skill going to be consigned to the bin, I would have thought if our lot could not get a tune out if him no one can

Yep think it was a punt based on one good season at Preston, bit like erm what’s his name.....? Watkins

How many other clubs have binned off two record signings in just over a year, like we just have? (I know Robinson and Freeman aren't recording signings now, but they were when they were bought)

This bit in paper from August says a a few interesting things about him. The old wilder effect could work wonders.

Oliver Burke could be set to return to Celtic, according to reports.

That's the latest transfer rumour surrounding the West Brom winger.

The unsettled Baggies star has been linked with a move to Trabzonspor where former Albion coach Eddie Newton is manager.

According to media in Turkey, Newton is keen on adding Burke to his squad having just been appointed manager on a permanent basis, following a successful stint as caretaker.

However the latest report in the Turkish media outlet Fotomac, suggests that Celtic are keen to beat them to the signature of the player they had on loan during the 2018/19 season.

Any deal between Albion and Celtic would probably need to be a permanent switch after the bad blood that emerged after the winger's loan move.

Having spent half a season on loan at Celtic, Burke went out to Spain with Alaves in La Liga, last season.

Burke has failed to meet lofty expectations at the Baggies and his future now looks to be away from The Hawthorns.

Recalling the first few months with the Baggies, Burke recently opened up on the upheaval and a period of disruption which he believes stunted his development.

“For a certain amount of time, it sort of started when I made the move to West Brom,” Burke told the Daily Record.

“With the manager change and getting the injury at the beginning… everything gets on top of you. Not playing as much, not even being part of the team. You feel left out. You do lose that love for the game.

“Obviously I was coming into training, and as soon as I was out on the pitch I loved it. But it’s when you come away, you go back home, you over think everything. You think ‘Why am I not playing?’, ‘What do I need to do better?’

“But it’s part of the game, you just have to learn, push yourself forward and know that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

“Yes, I did lose some love for the game; but playing again like I am now, I’m really happy and I love it again. It’s a great feeling.”

Burke, who has previously made no secret of his desire to move on from Albion,

Last year, Baggies boss Slaven Bilic sent Burke on a season-long loan to Alaves where he made 32 appearances.

And Newton, who was Roberto Di Matteo's number two at The Hawthorns between 2009 and 2011, hopes to give Burke a platform to shine next term.

Burke, recently pictured on holiday with Nottingham Forest star Matty Cash, played in the Europa League during his loan at Celtic in 2018/19.

Another European campaign would not be on the cards at Trabzonspor, despite their Turkish Cup win last month and second-placed league finish.

The club were banned from European competition for the 2020/21 season after breaching UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations.

But if you take a punt and it doesn't work out, surely its better to cut your losses and get rid rather than stubbornly soldier on?

Where does the lad actually play in terms of position?
