I wanted him for his offensive ability as it would have given us something going forward when we have a good defensive base. Villa have paid over the odds and through the nose to get him over the competition. Good move for his contract bad for his career in my opinion.
 



Seen nothing of him apart from these clips - he looks quality and looks prem quality. Im sure he can make the step up! Derby fans are upset hes going which says more than enough.
Would be very happy with this signing!

Just for clarity, your solution to beat the financial crisis is to shatter our wage structure and spend a load of money that we don’t have on new signings who may or may not improve our starting 11?

We’ve purposefully been signing young players on the up. We’ve got a track record of making them better. One year later, with or without signings, we’re stronger not weaker.

We do need more goals though. There’s a lot riding on McBurnie and Moose progressing. Hopefully we will get someone in up top.

Don't have an issue with that as long as we have enough quality in the squad but at the moment we are weaker than last season.

I just hope CW has a few aces up his sleeve, for me up top us is where we need to add real quality the lack of goals away from home after Xmas was alarming.
 
I would have preferred Roberts than cash and bogie over both of them ,at this money its the sale of the fucking century
I've seen cash play a few times and not been impressed at all and when we were linked I watched his YouTube video and was seriously underwhelmed
I thought if cwak can beef him up and discipline him he might be useful as an attacking ACM in the lundstram role as a second or inside right back but I thought no way is he either going to oust baldock or be physical enough to defend against premier league attackers

Let's try again what were you saying 4 years ago about signing (lack of) transfer activity ?
4 years ago we were about to embark on our 6th successive season in the 'third' division, we were nigh on bankrupt & having to sell to recruit - that was a 'can't afford to get relegated' scenario' There would have been no income (likely no SUFC) if we hadn't got promotion ne'er mind being relegated
As you are fond of describing we have 130 million guaranteed for another season or two ( & one assumes a sustainable financial model IF we go down + saleable playing assets
You (appear to acknowledge the financial challenges we face but previously advocated (likely) at least doubling the salary bill (60k p/w signings) to attract the "better quality players" to avoid relegation (having finished 9th)
Coronavirus has similar impact / implications on most of the Prem (Outwith the mega rich / sugar daddy clubs) - & certainly the ones we will be 'competing' with (to avoid relegation in your 1 minute to midnight scenario

The only player that has not returned that did play regular Prem football is Henderson, he wasnt our player so there is nothing we can do about that we have signed a very good replacement which is all we could do

Which suggests there may be a good time to be relegated? It's as if you imagine that Wilder is bereft of insight and what this club needs?

You must be aware that a sizeable chunk of money was returned due to the upheaval of the virus, add to which we don't have a sugar daddy to supplement these losses and it should be clear that the picture you paint is short of what most supporters already know? Plus we've been outbid on most of the transfer targets we were interested in, and you should grasp that Wilder will have faced a frustrating time in assembling new recruits for the coming season.

Maybe if you're still unconvinced, why not send a plan of action to Wilder, outline what he's doing wrong, advise he follows your plan of action and should he deviate that he's only got himself to blame. You never know, he might just come round to the idea that within the ranks of scrupulously correct Blades, there exists a few insightful types who know that bit more and shouldn't be ignored. Should this be the case then a statue awaits, possibly even a blue plaque. Personally I can't wait until you offer up a detailed set of plans that identify how we finance these signings you say we're lacking, so chop chop, no time to waste, maybe your moment has arrived.....or maybe you're as clueless as your posts seem to suggest. I can't recall your posts before last season began, so if by any chance you posted would you mind refreshing my memory on the topic of how poor our chances were of surviving with such a limited squad?

We have to remember that players develop at different rates. Maybe Cash is a bit further ahead than Bogle at the moment? But Bogle is obviously excellent potential and honestly, I think CWAK could turn me into a decent footballer.

(I have offered my services many times and sent them all my Green ‘Un match report cuttings from the 1970’s Sheffield pub league, (no YouChube in them days see?). They’ve not said yes yet, but then again they’ve not said no. So I may yet be one of the surprise 5 signings this week. 🤔 )

We don’t need them to be - we need them to be better than Kieron Freeman and Kean Bryan. And then see if they can become better than Baldock and Stevens over the next few years. I haven’t seen much of Lowe but I’d say Bogle is better now than Baldock was when we signed him. Neither Baldock or Stevens was anything close to what they are now when they signed for us, so hopefully these two follow similar paths.

(assuming we actually sign them - seems like we’ve jumped the gun on more than a few players so far this summer)
 



I'm as sold as you can be having not seen a player live with Bogle.

Whats Lowe like though? Not heard much of him, no highlights and 3 or 4 years older.
