Grady Diangana nears West Brom move after West Ham accepted £20m bid
ADRIAN KAJUMBA: West Brom are keen to finalise terms with Diangana and wrap up his return as soon as possible, mindful of rival interest from the likes of Fulham and Aston Villa.www.dailymail.co.uk
Not so hard up to pay 22m for a midfielder but can only afford 4m for Robbo.
Half of what we paid.
Which was due to him having only a year left on his deal and since then he's played and scored/assisted in the PL and then helped with goals to get WBA over the line.
Have I got this right?![]()
Scotland’s match against the Czech Republic might be called off. So if Burke is signing, it could happen sooner than we thought.
Scotland fans have managed to get him trending bc how wank he was today. He was only on the pitch 20 minutes.

Agreed, Burke never really seems to have found a home since leaving Forest. Could be here if CWAK put an arm round himFollowing a bit of research on Burke (didn't know much about him) i feel that this could be a bit of a Moose type signing. I think there looks to be bags of potential but can we get that out of him ? On video evidence it looks like he's quick and direct - we just need to sprinkle a little CWAK magic onto him and he could be very good for us. Fingers crossed.
Away goals we scored after christmas last season: 4
I think that shows we've got to try doing something a bit different, we need to score more away goals, and one way of doing it is by counter attacking better. The form and fitness of Mousset remains questionable, Zivkovic didn't really work out, so we need to look for more forwards who can be a threat with pace and powerful running on the ball. I think that's where Burke could play a part. We accept he has weaknesses and he may not be used for any scenario. He will not be the main striker we bring in, but his attributes could still add something to us.
12
The number of goals Burke has scored in 117 games.
Aye, but he played RWB for Alaves by all accounts and half of them were off the bench. He's played mainly as a winger before that so I don't think 12 in 117 games tells the true story.

Physical attributesWhy are we looking to sign this guy again? We already have a winger who divides opinion..

As Bily says Keef, his pace and power. He'll play as a forward it seems. You must have noticed countless games last season when we're crying out for creativity and pace, especially when teams sit deep. Burke should provide that creative edge although he'll probably be best on the counter with his pace. We rely on the Moose for this but he just isn't fit enough half the time.
I’m 100% sure there’ll be another striker in that will do the 90 minutes needed. Just have no idea who they are as of yetCheers. I hope we have found a game changer rather than just a contingency plan for a striker we can't get fit.
This thread reminds me of the one when we signed mcgoldrick
And Leon Clarke
And mousset
And Madine
Maybe the manager knows more than us
Yes the last few threads about striker signings have proven that as well as the ones about 'mcgoaldrought ' and mcburnie when he was struggling for formPeople are allowed to have their own thoughts and doubts on players you know.
Especially if we're looking like signing a striker who doesn't bother the onion bag very often.
