Did anyone actually see Burke playing last night and just wondering how he did? Knowing how Scotland fans are with McBurnie, I can imagine that Burke was no worse than anyone else, but they seem to love a scapegoat!

As for those that don't want Burke. Why can't we just give the lad a chance first! We've signed players that other club's fans thought were crap and they've become real favourites with us. He has pace, can dribble and strength. There's a lot of qualities we don't have an abundance of at the minute.

Let's stop rewriting history; his time with us didn't inflate his value. He contributed next to nothing. That's why we sent him out on loan in the first place...
 



Just listened to this interview. Brave of him to leave the comfort zone to go to the Bundesliga and he seems a smart kid, and also noticed how he talks about the love of how much Leipzig showed him, not sure that continued after he joined, but I would guess he's a confidence player and needs that reassurance and feeling wanted. What person doesn't lets be honest, whether its football, work or relationships. As others have said, I really like the fact that he's been written off and yet we will have the opportunity to bring the best out of him and I would imagine he must be buzzing to come to us.
 
Following a bit of research on Burke (didn't know much about him) i feel that this could be a bit of a Moose type signing. I think there looks to be bags of potential but can we get that out of him ? On video evidence it looks like he's quick and direct - we just need to sprinkle a little CWAK magic onto him and he could be very good for us. Fingers crossed.

Agreed, Burke never really seems to have found a home since leaving Forest. Could be here if CWAK put an arm round him

I think that shows we've got to try doing something a bit different, we need to score more away goals, and one way of doing it is by counter attacking better. The form and fitness of Mousset remains questionable, Zivkovic didn't really work out, so we need to look for more forwards who can be a threat with pace and powerful running on the ball. I think that's where Burke could play a part. We accept he has weaknesses and he may not be used for any scenario. He will not be the main striker we bring in, but his attributes could still add something to us.

Not too many up front I reckon. I'm sure Wilder could easily sign a number of forwards with better goal ratio, but if Burke comes, it is because Wilder feels it his attributes that can complement the current squad the most and make us more prepared for different scenarios in the season ahead.

As Bily says Keef, his pace and power. He'll play as a forward it seems. You must have noticed countless games last season when we're crying out for creativity and pace, especially when teams sit deep. Burke should provide that creative edge although he'll probably be best on the counter with his pace. We rely on the Moose for this but he just isn't fit enough half the time.
 
I hope i am proved wrong bit an absolutely wank, embarrassing signing for the EPL. Especially giving robbo the other way. Ive said before but not 1 manager for wba rated him (out of 3) the clubs he was loaned out too he wasnt rated either. You can tell from the videos hes so poor on the ball, i really don’t understand this signing.

Not seen 1 positive comment from a WBA fan says it all. They cant believe they are getting rid and getting robbo in exchange. They all say hes quick but no finesse, technical ability, end product and lazy.

This kid will be ziko quality, would be amazed if he scores 2 goals next season. shite signing, if this is the quality we are getting in then god help us.

this indicates that we are getting money as well

we will no doubt have had to pay some bonuses to Preston for us staying up appearances etc but in effect we are swapping a £4 million player for someone previously valued at £15 million
Yes he is not the finished article but as previously stated offers pace and power which is something we currently do not have. Let CW and AN work with him to give him back his missing confidence and we might ...... have a player on our hands
 
Why are you lot insistent on listening to other clubs fans when clubs such as Brentford told us Egan and O’Connell were a waste of money and couldn’t believe we’d signed them.

What will be will be, he’s not going to be a starter, but an option of the bench, an option which we didn’t have last season.
 
Don’t mind this at all, he’s gone for £30m+ already in his career. We’ve already established CR can’t do it at this level so let WB find that out themselves. A bit like that West Ham kid they’ve signed, was good in the championship. OB could be a bit of a rough diamond. He’s obviously got pace and seems to have a bit about him.. was good last season for Alaves. What’s the worst that can happen really? Robinson is about 4/5 in the pecking order.

Cheers. I hope we have found a game changer rather than just a contingency plan for a striker we can't get fit.

People are allowed to have their own thoughts and doubts on players you know.
Especially if we're looking like signing a striker who doesn't bother the onion bag very often.

Yes the last few threads about striker signings have proven that as well as the ones about 'mcgoaldrought ' and mcburnie when he was struggling for form
 
If he turns up and gives it his absolute everything, I think he’ll find he’s on a winner at Bramall Lane and who knows the Premier League and the homely club environment might just suit him?

Even better, if that enthusiasm inspires a particular teammate with similar credentials, to put a real shift in too!! 😉

Didzy was highly rated by ipswich fans.

Clarke was aswell and had scored 30 goals i think for bury.

Moose also had his fair share of positives from AFCB fans. They just said he hadnt done it for them yet but most agreed he had talent.

Madine was slated but he had a long career of scoring goals regularly which isnt the case with this guy.

Not one positive comment about this guy. I want to be proved wrong obviously, but cant see it happening.
