He's a talented lad. I'd be wary of spending 15 million outright on him though. He's unproven at this level. If it was single figures with add ons, then maybe. Players like Solanke demonstrate that it can go horribly wrong.
 

Brewster is worth more than 15m IMO so if we can pull that off it would be incredible business. Similar goal record to Mcburnie in the champ and 2/3 years younger.

How does it?
Solanke had a very tough time of it trying to get that first goal and had some shite luck (see Didsy) but after his first goal he was an absolute menace. I suspect he'll get 20 goals next season if Bournemouth don't sell all their good players.
 
Can’t say I know too much about him but Just watched a couple of video clips of him, he seems to love a tackle and getting stuck in - so I imagine would fit in with what we want to do attacking wise.

Reminds me a billy sharp in that way, with a bit more pace about him! On that basis and his work at Swansea, I’d love to get him in.
 
Giddings’s comment is far more suggestive of it being a question Wilder dismisses, but actually in the interview he answers it by saying he’s interested in people at the top of the pitch, says the loan market is something we want to exploit, and highlights that we’re viewed as a club that people trust with development of their players. So while not drawn on Brewster, think the manner of the response suggests a loan may be on the cards.
 
We've got to take some calculated gambles.

We can't afford finished articles at this level either in fees or wages.

And without investment that's not going to change in the next few years at this level.

So far it's quite possible we're struggling to even bring in the better Championship players this summer for one reason or another.

People are wary of foreign players with no experience over here.

I sometimes wonder who some of our fans actually want us to buy that we can afford.

That's how I heard it. Definitely seems to be something in it & sounds like a loan.

I know we've had this discussion before, but I'd quite like Solanke as a perm for our surprise transfer but I wouldn't want to pay much for him.
I do reckon they want to keep him and he'll rip up the Championship this year and they'll want their £20M back if they don't get promoted.

People always say signing foreign players with no experience is risky but yet so are the lower league players too it just doesn't make sense. Whether people like it or not we can't just search for players and don't look abroad as many clubs have achieve success doing it.

There's an odd view that forruhn signings offer better value for money; particularly up front.

Alas, this is no longer the case. Last season spending 20m on strikers from the Championship got you more goals than spending 45 on Haller, 40m on Joelinton, 22m on Wesley and no doubt others. Each of which will have been on vastly higher wages too.

I'd take a bet that 10m on Toney will get you more goals than each of them too.
 
Would be a fantastic add. Fits our financial structure, young, hungry to prove he can cut the PL to Klopp, and turned out strong performance at Swansea.
