Now before you all start, let me just make a few things clear:
a) Despite how much money it's costing me, I like the Blades being in the Premiership.
and
b) I'm in no way advocating that Sheffield W*dnesday should be promoted purely to serve our entertainment.
BUT...
Aren't you missing a good bit of proper rivalry this season? There aren't any Sheffield or even proper Yorkshire (Middlesbrough can sod off) derbies! The best we can hope for is the luck of the cup draw but even then, could you really get excited about the cup?
We haven't had enough recent encounters with the northern Premiership clubs to create any atmosphere for proper banter... plus they're all too busy taking the piss out of Leeds to even bother about us. And with the Southerners... Watford and Reading fans don't make a peep (unless they get stuff thrown at them, they don't like that) and if the Arsenal fans are anything to go by, the rest of them are bloody comatose all the way through the match.
I'm not talking about violence... just some healthy "pig", "scum" or "scab" equivalent.
What (or who) do you reckon?
