4th worst team in PL history

Still rather be in their position etc

I do wonder if any of their fans look at Villa and think "if only we'd invested a LITTLE bit... we could have had a good chance of staying up". Villa won 9 games and 2 of those were against sides that didn't give a shit right at the end (Palace, Arsenal). The way Norwich tanked their season is reprehensible. If they'd got into the Premier League like Huddersfield did (an average Championship team that scraped through playoffs and got promoted with a negative goal difference) then I could understand their approach a bit more but this was a team that won the Championship last season and have a core of young players who are likely to be playing in the PL in 2020/21.

Anyway, rant over, I know there's a thread in Other Football And Sport on this, but seeing as you're presenting their horrorshow season in its full context...

They should be embarrassed. If they'd signed two competent centre backs from the Championship (Jake Cooper? Curtis Davies?) they'd not have gone on such a horror run and they might have stayed up. Also if they'd been closer to staying up the assets that they'll now be selling would be worth more
