Poor game, woeful finishing, homer of a referee

Don’t agree that the ref is a homer but yes, we played poorly. We need a proper creator, we need a proper striker and I think, we will need a proper keeper. Proper quality.
 
Post lockdown has reminded me of our first season back in the Championship after Coutts got injured. We didn't look the same without him and the players looked burned out by the end and the season fizzled out.

The following season we signed Norwood and we never looked back. Norwood has been generally terrible since lockdown so let's hope that Berge can find some consistency as I'm not convinced with him playing wide in attack, I much prefer him in Norwood's role.
 
Sharp has cost United 3 points today , I said weeks ago not good enough , was accused of being a Wednesday fan , said we have no chance of top 6 with that side, no creativity, no pace, no goalscorers so if realist means Wednesday fan then I must be
 
Our chances fall to Southampton and we’re 3-0 down at half time. 4-0 just after. Only at S2.

It really was the worst coverage I've heard/seen in a long, long time. Not just that but the camera work was shite and whoever was editing was terrible. We dont want to be watching Ollie and seeing if he's got ice on a knock when the game is going on.

They are obsessed with pointless replays and zooming in on the bench when the games happening, that bit when they zoomed in on mcburnie when the keeper nearly ran it out the box was farcical. Its like someone who knows nothing about the sport is directing it. Cant wait to get back to the lane and stop watching the shite they serve up on sky.
 
We lost the game in midfield, we didn't win it up top. Mcburnie shagged from the beginning; Lundstram from HT; Berge ,who was exceptional for 60 mins, was then gone too. Fleck, one exceptional tackle aside, never turned up. You have to think he's either miles behind fitness wise, or still carrying something. Stevens has never got back to pre lockdown levels either. Fair play to Robinson, deputised well again.

I don't think it's fair to blame any one player for what's happened over the last three games, especially after the season they've just given us, perhaps there are reasons we are not aware of. or maybe they've just run out of puff.......;)
Either way I still think they'll finish higher next season..........👍

A lethal finisher who can keep hold of the ball and be a threat and when the chance comes bang it in the net.

What we have currently is just Championship standard.

An attacking midfielder who carries the ball,someone like Ward-Prowse

What we have currently is very sideways/backwards.

Defence needs an addition of some power and speed,Mumin will do.

I dont want next season to start.

No one is saying we should sack anyone my point is the squad isn't good enough, and if you think it is then fair play but please never ever call Wednesday fans deluded , we have 3 maybe 4 players that can consistently play premier league football , that's JOC Egan , Berge, and maybe fleck the rest don't have the consistency , they may have the talent in patches for 6-8 games but not a season , there's a reason Norwood has been promoted 3 seasons in a row but never played
 
Don't take easy chances in this league and you get punished, that's what happened today.

I'm reading some crap on this forum since the final whistle. We've finished 9th for gods sake. Supposed fans saying we'll struggle to stay up next season. Get a Life! We really played quite well in the first half and could have had 3. One post saying we've played crap since the return after lockdown. Did you watch the Spuds game, the Wolves game, the Chelsea game? Yes we need improvement and CW has already acknowledged that. He will strengthen in midfield, bring in a good keeper, if not bring back Henderson and will improve out strikeforce. Just watched Eddie Howe's interview and obviously he's gutted. That could have been Wilder, but no, he's got us up to 9th. With a bit of a break, new additions to the squad, CWAK will build on this success, so just chill and take stock.
I'll now get off my soapbox.

No, he was aiming for survival, mid table, top half at a push.

Evolution not revolution as he calls it, and next season we will evolve and strengthen again, God knows how we will improve on this season to be honest. How we can possibly finish above any of those monsters thats finished above us is anyones guess... but do you know who might know??

One of the main reasons we have done so well to finish is the very consistent level of performance across the team, certainly to lockdwon if not since. To say some have only performed well for 6-8 matches is nonsense in my view. We have finished ninth and when you look at the teams above it is an amazibnng achievement. The players have looked out of steam at the end but you should remember we had an extra league match and the cup match more than most of the others. Our run in was the hardest of the top ten ten teams as well. I agree that we will need to strengthen though. Our lack of goals from chances created puts too much pressure on the defence.
