You are being way over sensitive to what I said. Vitriol????

He's done OK with a squad full of talent. A better, more experienced manager (who fits the situation they are in) would have gotten more out of them.

And these aren't young players with no future he's raised up with superb coachong. These are young players who'd start for most PL teams

Sarri finished 3rd with Chelsea last year and they sit 3rd now. He was more experienced.

With Liverpool and Man City being the top two I am not sure who would get them above 3rd place

They are closer to Bournemouth than Liverpool in points.

I'm not saying he's complete shit. I am saying he's currently getting by because he has good players, he is not maximising the vast resources he has at his disposal. He may one day if he's given time.
 
FL is in at the point now where CWAK was after their first four games in charge of us in the so called pub league, fans expectations run high straight away when a new manager is appointed, FL has a tough job on his hands and I hope he is given some more time, bringing in young english born players who want to become the best.
Yes he was handed a plum job and not worked his way up through the ranks, sometimes that is even harder to deal with.
It's a bit like you or me, you have done a very basic computer programing course, then you are given a top Job at NASA to write a program to control a spacecraft, even the experts get that wrong, look at that Arianne rocket that blewup a few years ago just after launch with a couple of satellites on, value approx 1 billion dollars of sat technology.

The cause, the rocket control system was designed to use metric units, it was programmed in imperial units, everyone has a shit off day sometimes, they did.
Also the fact that we contained them, outplayed them when we had the ball and found the onion bag 3 times.

Now back to me programing another rocket

I don't think Lampard has done a terrible job. The players seem to have not downed tools yet which they have under Conte, Sarri, Mourinho etc. But Chelsea might be the hardest job in England with that owner involved. But I don't think he's adding much value yet
 
Poor old Frank is out of his depth just the same as he was when at Derby. A good international player does not always make a good manager, lucky for him that his last two employers were more concerned about having a big name in charge rather than someone who knows what they are doing (we've been there, done it with Robson).
Lampard may well turn out to be a decent manager when he has learnt his trade but despite having decent players he failed at Derby but got a job where there were even better players to carry him. Chris Wilder schooled him last season this season with a better team Chris Wilder again schooled him, harsh lessons, steep learning curve, Frank needs to do as he says and not forget the lessons.
 
Lampard's had a not bad start to his managerial career, play off final with Derby last season and probably CL finish for Chelsea.

Ok he's landed a couple of plum jobs on the back of his playing career, and inherited some good players into the bargain, but he's doing ok for a novice.

In comparison our man's probably got 20 years plus experience one way or another in management. Didn't CW even manage a Sunday league team during his first spell as a player at United!?

However, Tufty has given Lampard a bit of a schooling yesterday, as he did last season when Derby came to the Lane, thinking about it didn't that finish 3-0 as well. Let's just hope we can hold onto CW for a few years longer.
 
Chelsea lost Eden Hazard at the end of last season, those are big boots to fill.

It was 3-1 and the antics of the ref and their players at 1-1 got the crowd and players angry. We came out at them and just rolled them over.

Same happened with Blackburn, giving us an early red. That was 3-0
 
Wilder is a management genius, whilst Lampard is a management trainee.
 
I don't know if anyone else picked up on something that Lampard said, he said although there were no fans there any noise that there were echoed around the ground and all he could hear were Sheffield United voices, and that was in a nutshell the difference between the teams, not only the players on the pitch were constantly talking to each other but the reserves and back room staff were shouting, cheering and clapping not only because we are one but they're all fans
 



It is one thing to have a squad of talented big money players, as Frank Lampard has.

It is quite another thing to be able to sort out a settled team of eleven who perform consistently well, as Chris Wilder has.
 
I think he has done quite well with that chelsea side with players he has
 
Let's not forget what an amazing job he did at Derby, taking a team that finished in lowly 6ty position to the heady heights of 6th.

And a much bigger wage bill than Norwich, us or Leeds.

But it was 3 top players in on loan - Mount, Tomori and Wilson from the bin dippers. Plus outbid us for Waghorn and Marriott, leaving us with a crock from Ipswich on a free transfer...
 
Lampard seems to be easily wound up...it doesn't take much to push his buttons, you'd have thought with his wealth of playing experience he'd understand why people try and get a reaction, yet here he is acting like a prima donna as if he should be treated like a princess.

Frank, you're an embarrassment fella, have a word with someone otherwise you'll never learn.
 
I think he'll do well as a manager. He's got off to a pretty decent start with Derby & Chelsea. He's intelligent, knows the game inside out at that level & looks willing to put the work in.

As I said on another thread, those top jobs are harder than you think. It takes a lot to manage & motivate all of those superstars & egos. You need to have their respect. There's a reason guys like Lamps, Solskjaer, Zidane, Guardiola etc. walk into top jobs. It's because they understand those types of dressing rooms & they've worked under the best. It doesn't guarantee success by any means, but I can see how it would help.
 
He's a bit of a mardy prick, but often the good managers are. Over time he will probably be quite successful.

Still, I reckon Wilder has his number.

6 points from him/them next season. Piece of cake.
