We look like we have lost it.
You are far better than Speed.....we should have appointed you!

Well you would of expected the team to show up and prove themselves to him.
All they did was try to carry on the crap we had before.
Personally, I liked the way that we tried to keep the spheroid on the green oblong thing. Something which we haven't done for over a decade in the main.
But then that means nothing, as we didn't beat one of the promotion favourites 965343246765-0 on their own pad, on our manager's bow, so we'll go down with one point.
Obviously.
Some bloody people.

Eh??? Did you watch the game? We were abysmal as were injury hit Boro. Neither team strung 2 passes together. If you sell your best players (as McCabe seems happy to do) and replace them with average / poor ones this is what you get. We've got to give Speed time of course but his negative approach and formation was very disappointing - particularly against such a poor Boro side.

We did actually pass it around quite a bit in the first half, but with almost no penetration. As far as the slagging of off Monty, he wasn't the worst player on the pitch by a long way. He even came close to scoring in the second half, which is better than the rest of them with the exception of Cresswell's first half effort. At the end of the first half I made the observation that we were't terrible, we just weren't very good, and that that would probably be our better half. It was. It's not all doom and gloom. Yet.
Speed was asked on Radio Sheffield if he'd be making wholesale changes, and he said that it was too soon to be doing that. So give him a chance - we-ve only played three league games.
Speed was honest all week that he didn't want to rush too many changes. So I never really expected much different, however I thought we held the ball alot better than we have in the past, passed it better (still too many mistakes) but we still haven't addressed how our players move to recieve the ball.
We did play for a point today, but the frustrating thing for me is not one of our players stepped up, and this is where I can't blame any manager, we were one nil down and not one of those players made any attempt to grab our game by the scruff of the neck and push us on, we lack clear leadership on the field (that sounds bizarre saying it with Morg's on the field.) We also lack pace, and decent wide men.
Hardly any shooting chances created.
We still have a big problem with our passing (it's not how often we pass it, I never thought it was, it's the way we pass it. It's too slow, too often in front of the opposition. We just don't play quickly enough in possession, it seems to me that we pass it for the sake of passing it rather than looking to drag people out of position and create opportunities.
