Other grubbier clubs stretch the rules as much as they can get away with, but in an often predictable league where money is so important, we have done it the proper way. Managed and captained by Blades fans and spending within our limits, we play a unique style of football that has impressed pundits and opposing fans alike. No other club will give their fans more satisfaction this season. Our success is genuine and hard earned, even if Manchester City lift the Champions League, their fans will know in their hearts that isn't the case for them. Perhaps it should be our players receiving the guard of honour from the opposition teams!

Ipswich and Forest in 1962 and 1978 respectively were the best of all. We finished 5th in 1962 after getting promotion.

I think we are the breath of fresh air that the PL needed as were the first promoted side in a good while to be up at the business end of the table . Here’s some other the most successful seasons for promoted clubs a few of them at the time Newcastle, Blackburn & Wolves were no real surprises due to squads & financial backing they had :

Much as I want to agree with the OP, Leicester winning the title still has it for me, I know I know, I know what they did that was wrong but they broke that stranglehold of Big 6 and gave everybody hope.
