Who do you want as new manager?

If there's anyone i've missed suggest it in the posts and i'll ask Linz or the Fox to add it

1. O'Driscoll
2. Speed

O'Driscoll wont come and I'd be happy to give Speed a try.

UTB

Speed for me with an experience ex manager to help him out. Wouldn't it be nice to have a manager who shows respect

Steve Coppell please. Don't tell me he's a quitter: He left Bristol on a point of principle just like O'Neill at Villa. Yes I know he says he's finished with management. Frank Sinatra had dozens of farewell concerts.

Would anyone seriously suggest Wilder if he wasn't a Blade? Why not Mickey Adams? Lord help us.

Ive neglected to vote. Really not sure. I'll leave it to those in the boardroom as I'm not sure what we need.

Gary Speed deserves a shot! He'll probably walk out if he doesn't get it.

Sean O'Driscoll would be my choice, but I honestly dont think he would come to United! If he did! we're probably going to look at re-signing Sharp (AGAIN). I honestly think he'll fancy his chances of getting in the play-offs with Doncaster more than he would with us.

I voted O'Driscoll, judging on yesterday's abject performance it's time we went back to basics! Although in agreement with Gregblade, I can't see him coming unless he wants to bring half the Doncaster Rovers squad including Billy Sharp...

wheres 'none of the above'?

i want eddie howe - they battered peterborough yesterday and play some lovely stuff.
Speeds part of Blackwells camp, get rid of the lot of them.
megson's a ginger pig. odriscoll wont come, neither will mowbray as were skint and we dont have any decent ball playing centre mid's and there's no cash to buy any.
sabella is rumoured to be the the next argentinian boss (lets get real) i wouldnt want dowie or coleman (he was shite at coventry)
southgate should stay on the tele I.M.O - he's to nicey nicey.

lets have some bollocks and appoint someone who wants to play football not hoofball.

Alex Sabella? How we larfed.

I'd take SO'D because I've got the patience to watch him build something over two years or more. Sadly thousands of gobby buggers out there do not. :(

One things for sure, whoever gets appointed there will be a sizeable portion that won't like it and will continue to spoil the atmosphere.

I guess the only thing that is clear is, when we get a new manager half will love him while the other half tear him apart. Why, cause many have picked as star candidates folk who are not going to come. Anyway if the Board is meeting till they have a decision they are not likely talking to anybody who already has a job.

Gareth Southgate who would accually want him, he worse then Blackwell in my opinion.
Tony Mowbray named one for the worse managers for Celtic.
yes, Alejandro Sabella have got links with united but he's only manager 1 team and he's 55.
Gary Speed, only managerial experience he has had is with Blackwell, is he really cut out to be a good manager. For me it be a cheap option.

I would have Sean O'Driscoll, Chris Wilder and Phil Brown and Chris Coleman be a hit and miss.

i think martin o'neill left Aston villa because he had a gut feeling that the blades where on the verge of sacking mr Blackwell, and he wanted to take his career to the next stage and manage a big club :)

...on a more serious note, i think it would be worth giving the most expensive water boy in the game a shot... speed can do it!

Managing a club the size of Celtic is a bit different to the likes of Hibs, West Brom and ourselves though.

I wouldn't grumble if we appointed Mowbray. At least we would see a change in the style of play.

Me neither. Be a decent appointment assuming he would at least have a bit of money to spend. Not sure he could do alot with what we've got.

Presumably the Board would have to agree to sanction an official approach for someone currently in a job. Of course it depends whether a decision was made weeks ago but otherwise you'd expect them to have drawn up a shortlist today, presumably enquiries will have been made by managers out of work and tomorrow they'll set about making contact.

I voted for Speed, because I feel that he is already lined up, however, Tony Mowbray is a very good call, if it's not Speed
