Celtic and Rangers fans are bitter about English teams. Teams like us doing well feeds their narrative of the PL (I don't feel the need to distinguish between SPL and EPL as the SPL is irrelevant) being a weak league and that their teams could compete with the big boys.

I do think it's pathetic that McBurnie won't take part in the huddle though. Rangers are one of the biggest stains on football around and I often liken their principles and ways of operating to the pigs, he shouldn't use this as his benchmark.

I liked Scougall but he couldn't get a regular game for us in League 1 and ended up as a first team regular for St Johnstone in their Premier League, then he moved to League 2 Carlisle, so I think that says it all about the standard of football in Scotland.

James Wilson, went on loan to Aberdeen, played 24, then they signed him full time. He came back to England and now he plays for Salford City in League Two.

The Scottish FA insist that the national manager has to pick a certain %age of scottish based players to ensure half decent turnouts at Hampden.
Hence the Scotland team is absolute 'dreck' as all their best players are in England.
Sad really.
They should probably pick their best (english) based players and play somewhere like Old Trafford or Anfield where they would get decent crowds. They would probably qualify for the major tournaments if they did this.
