I don't mind when it makes the right call, let's say the offside v Southampton.
I'm not particularly happy about the borderline calls, elbows and toes offside especially since the technology isn't that good yet.
IT's the ridiculous calls Lundstrams toes 6 moves back v Spurs* and the goal against Villa which this shit wasn't supposed to get wrong.
* which they seem to have forgotten.
 
JOCs goal at Brighton was miles off as well. Flag would have gone up pre VAR.

VAR has been shit because they seem desperate to rule out perfectly good goals like ours against Spurs and Man City and Kane's on Wednesday. They need to change things so that it goes back to the intended purpose, that was to stop "obvious" errors caused by unsighted officials.

Maybe we should re-train to run and score backwards ?

This is why I didn't feel sorry for spurs when the "handball" was given. Also there was no big debate for the offside manure goal that was given.
 
So seeing as VAR didn't come into reckoning against Villa, that's 7 points we've had screwed out of us :mad:
 
If it evens itself out over the Season Man U are in for a shit end to the season and our last few games will be epic!

Hate conspiracy theories but understand what unconscious bias can do. And some officials' temperaments are obviously steered by the reputations and magnitudes of ceratin personalities, clubs and organisations. Sheffield United don't quite have the kudos to attract favourable decisions most of the time it seems.

Other fuckfaced 'commentators' like Redknapp and Lineker don't help.

Wasn't there a Burnley goal chalked off earlier in season where player deemed to be offside was on the other side of pitch.
 



No mention of ref tackling FLECKY and putting Aguero in either. Presumably because VAR failed to show any interest.
 
Do people actually read this 'VAR table' and what it represents before posting it?

But how far do you go back if I remember the ball was recycled after lunnys offside so to me it wasnt it the same phase

Yeah I think that's part of what made it hard to take. And that it was just a blurry toe...
 
Interesting that the 'big 6' are a total of 27 places lower in the VAR table, than the league table.
(Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal and Spurs)

Wouldn't a big club bias result in the opposite?

He’s literally between the ball and Ramsdale’s. How is he not in his line of sight?

Are you a champion of VAR? If so, explain why Pieters handball today wasn’t, but Bailly’s yesterday was.

Because it's a subjective decision, that's the problem with the law.

The concept of VAR, the technological side of it, is not the issue.
Subjective decisions will still have the same controversy as before VAR.

We have two choices.
To accept there will be a lack of consistency because of this subjectivity.
Or to amend all laws to the one that prevented Harry Kane's goal, and then complain about no 'common sense'.
 
Have we been ‘awarded’ anything by VAR this season? We’ve benefited from decisions being iverturned, eg goals and sendings off, but I can’t remember any positive interventions, eg penalties awarded or offsides overruled?
