That formation would work in games where we are likely to have more possession, this is probably about 3 games a season in the PL.

I can only recall a shot from the 18yd box that was more like a pass back... and an attempted header that he failed to connect with.

I usually agree with your posts but beg to differ on this occasion , especially bearing in mind McG's natural inclination to hang deep and effectively act as an additional midfielder .

I also think that both Osborn and Freeman would add energy and creativity , both of which have been sadly lacking in our recent performances .

McGoldrick wouldn’t be able to play deeper if we had Freeman in the hole, they’d crowd each other out.

I’d like to see Freeman and Osborn but in our conventional system. Give Fleck another few days to get over his knock and play Enda LCB.

I see us tweaking our system like this next season, just need someone more consistent than Mousset at the top of the field amongst a few other upgrades.

If we're chasing a goal later on, send Zivkovic & Sharp on together for McGoldrick & Mousset & switch back to the 5-3-2 with Norwood on the right.

Give up possession and play on the counter. Unless Norwood shaves his head he needs to be dropped as he has been dreadful since the restart.

Oh definitely... I just meant I’d have used ‘thunderous’ to describe that cushioned header back to the keeper!
To be fair it was a wee bit behind him.

If JOC is still missing (I think he's going to make it) Enda is a very good replacement. We currently wouldnt be losing our marauding, full of confidence wing back and we will be adding experience and alot more pace to the back 3.
I'm also desperate to give Osborn a game.

Not convinced Arsenal's midfield is capable of over-running us. Looks pretty disjointed to me ☺
