Besic wants to stay, he loves it here, he thinks the fans are brilliant, he likes the way things are done, and has expressed an interest in a possible switch asap.

I just did a search, " what is Bosnian for 'Cult Hero' ?". It didn't give me a translation just brought up loads of articles about Mo Besic. True.
 
I was very impressed with that. That lad hasn't had much of a sniff of first team action, let's be reight! But he's looked very accomplished when he has and I really like his positive attitude. Based on what I've seen I'd say sign him on. He'd be an asset to the team. 👍
 
Needs to start against Millwall. Lundstram has shown what he can do when is given a challenge. Besic emerging as a very useful asset just at the right time, for both players, and for the club.

We have an option on extending Lundstram’s contract that we’ve already said we’ll activate if a new deal isn’t agreed before end of June. But I agree that Besic is useful to have as an option if football returns next month – we’ll probably have to use the squad a bit more than we would have otherwise, and for that reason I can see Besic starting a game or two.

Completely agree and it's definitely been one of the strangest choices this season. On the other hand, the scenes with Berge and the fans at the end are one of the stand-out moments of the season so far.

I do wonder if we could have put Palace to the sword a bit more ruthlessly if Mo had played in Sander's place.

Without knowing all of the circumstances, it does seem seem an odd decision.

With a congested fixture list & Berge still taking a while to adapt, one or two injuries leave us very light of quality backup options in midfield.

Besic has shown he can cover for Norwood & Lundstram impeccably when called upon.

I'd not have been against bringing him in permanently if the fee was circa £4m. I've really liked what I've seen.

I think Besic may not have wanted to extend his loan and Everton may have wanted us to buy him.
 
Wonder why he's gone back. Everyone's important for the run-in, surely?
 
I think it was money/playing time/demands, or so I was told, but who knows, at the end of the day, he wasn't our player, maybe cutting costs now we're safe, will assist in new signings next month??
 

It's fine, we've got Rodwell for the bench - lets not forget either him or Besic are currently behind;

Failing all that we've got Slater who can come in too. It aint like we're short of options.
