Jump jockey who rode over 470 winners, runner up on Crisp to Red Rum in the 73 Grand National. Newspaper article today asking what was his biggets money mistake. Said it was buying 20 grands worth of shares in the Blades on say so of a stockbroker friend. The shares were bought for £1.08 and are now worth 3p and have been for some years. Anyone else got stung ?
 



Which stockbroker would recommend anything like that unless you were hoping to buy the lot?

Same here, but I get a bit pissed off when I hear the regular “Hey there’s no bigger Blade than me, I have put loads of my money into this club”.
Well Kev, some of that money was ours, so get off that “High Horse”, or get on it and ride off into the Sunset..
 
I suggested to our financial director just before the play off final against palace we should buy some because if we win we will be quids in, he isn't interested in football, that went well.
