The lads are getting together (virtually) with Wayne Quinn next week for a natter about his career. While we’ve got questions for him already, we thought it would be good to give him some questions from other fans. Fire away...
Be sensible 😳😂

Would love to hear him talk about how Eileen Drewery’s faith healing when Quinn was training with the England squad in summer 1998 affected his career.

She apparently told Robbie Fowler he had “two demons living inside him”...

Loved watching him in what was the best footballing United side I had seen until Wilder came along. His crossing ability was up there close to Beckham, was it purely injuries that hampered his career or did things go wrong at Newcastle for other reasons?

Alan, Stephen, Niall and Wayne... What is it about Quinn’s, throughout the ages, that has captured the public’s imagination?

I would love to know his thoughts on the derailment of the 97/98 season. As a member of the first time what was most the most disruptive element? Deane, Fjortoft (and a few others) being sold / the Ainsworth tackle on Dane / Spackman resignation?

Any Paul McGrath anecdotes will be worth a listen.

Was he as surprised as we all were at the time that Bobby Robson was prepared to not only buy him, but also pay as much as £1m for him?

Did he lose the love of playing (sure I read that somewhere), and if true, is that what held him back from from achieving more?

That first season must have been hard to build on, as the team was dismantled and his specialist position was no longer used.

What was it like to play against Latvia and be substituted, to then be substituted back on?

Is it true that he used to run a caravan park in Wales?

Wikipedia used to say so, so it must be true.

How hurt were you that in your loan spell back at the club you could in quiet moments at games hear people say “I miss Jon Harley”? Also, apologies.

Guys, I’m sorry but the pod went on longer than anticipated on the back of how well the conversations flowed with Wayne however I think a lot of the questions were answered.
Rooks - he said thank you for taking him 😂
As for build me up buttercup, that was a drunk Curtis Woodhouse. Apparently 🤣🤣

Curtis lived in the building too. Once left a tap running and went on holiday, flooded the flat underneath. Nice lad though.
