Both us dominating and being dominated. It isn't necessarily reflected in the scoreline (there was a 4-0 home defeat to Scunthorpe where we were almost unlucky to lose).
In terms of United dominating, in recent years the 4-1 home win against Aston Villa, a couple of years ago, we absolutely pulverised them in the first half. In our 'Centurians' season in League One, we beat Bradford 3-0 and battered them. Going further back there was a 6-1 win against Chester City where we looked leagues apart.
Against us, I have to admit that the FA Cup Semi Final against Wednesday, they could have beaten us by three or four goals but for a superb performance by Alan Kelly. I also remember losing 4-0 at home to Sunderland, when Michael Bridges destroyed us and the game was over by half time.

The Bradford and Villa games are both good picks.

I didn't see it myself but Revolution Sr told me that our weakened cup team was so much better than Leyton Orient when we beat them 6-0 3 seasons ago it was embarrassing. He described them as the worst team he could ever remember seeing.

Against us, Boro beat us 2-0 and 6-0 in our 1988 relegation season and they were so much better than us in both games it was ridiculous. The 6-0 defeat at the Emirates was another game where the gulf in class was huge.

Would agree with all of those. I would also nominate the play off semi final against Preston where we seemed to be permanently camped in their half. My memory of the Sunderland game was a teenager asking his Dad for the house keys at half time. His Dad told him to jog on with the classic response "if I have to suffer this shit then so do you"

Yes, the Arsenal one is a good choice, made all the more embarrassing by the fact we were playing Arsenals youth team!

I can't remember exact details of games but we dominated a lot of games in that 2016/17 season in league one.

It was like attack and defence in lots of instances

Remember the Orient cup gsme. They defended like absolute amateurs that day

Dominated - 2005/2006 promotion season - 3-0 at home against Burnley one week after we'd beaten the pigs...we looked so comfortable that day and it was a pleasure to watch with zero jeopardy.
Outclassed, I would go for 2-0 loss at White Hart Lane - never laid a glove on them and for the first 30mins we were chasing shadows. Think it was Berbatov's debut. Could have been embarrassing if they hadn't taken their foot off the gas.

Another one is when I think the 2011-12 team peaked: 5-2 at Rochdale. They scored first and we just battered them after that. We'd have got 7 or 8 but we took off our better players and let Flynn and O'Halloran have a game.

Hull away, Bolton away and Wigan away last year. All 3-0 and they didn't lay a glove on us.

I remember us battering Wednesday at Hillsborough around 2002 and somehow managing to lose 2-0. Memories are hazy (given the 18 years that have passed) but I think Owusu got one of their goals and Pressman had a stormer, as usual. I think it was an early indicator that we were a decent footballing side in 2002/03.

I’ll also throw in Blackburn away.

Weren’t they on s long unbeaten run at home and many predicted a tough game.

We won 2 0 and controlled the game from start to finish. That was a fantastic performance that night

Pressman always had a stormer against us.

We were totally dominant in the 10 nil victory over Vale. A pleasure to watch... :) ;)

It won't be included, but the first halfs away at Spurs and Wolves this season were so one sided too. Wolves and Spurs both struggled to get out of their own halves, Spurs were totally embarrassing to be honest.

Agreed. Spurs away was a quality performance, especially first half. Was fuming that we didn’t win that, even without the VAR farce for McGoldrick’s goal.

We were also quality against Burnley at home in the first half. Played them off the park.

Wasn't just first half, sharp had a couple of sitters he should have buried in the second half.

Could quite easily have ended 5+ that one.

Looking at some unusual ones. I'd say the derby we dominated the most in defeat was our 2 - 1 defeat in the League Cup at Hillsborough. We have had several games where we have absolutely dominated them and not got our just rewards.

I remember a game in the sunshine as a nipper under Bassett against West Ham at the lane. We absolutely battered them, it was embarassingly one sided and we had a stupid amount of corners I think but we somehow contrived to lose 2 nil. I don't know how but I still remember a cocky little twat called Mark Ward scored for them.

On the flip side we once beat Huddersfield 5 - 1 at the lane and they were they better side throughout.

Football eh.

Remember this one as a kid and the chants of "we want 7!"

Looking at the highlights West Brom's keeper (Russell Hoult?) didn't do them any favours

Bolton away last season.
Norwich away 1991. Played in all white kit. Looked and performed like Real Madrid - nearly.
Uncle Fleck, yes you, popped up to equalise late on. 0 - 2 up ended 2 - 2.
A friendly against Cloughie's Forest Late 70's or 80's. They scored six, and so we touched the ball six times. Kicking off after each goal.

Remember us pounding Wednesday at Hillsborough and Pressman in the net pulled off save after incredible save. We lost. Think it was mid eighties?

As has been mentioned previously, the first half away at Spurs the season we went up was all one way traffic, the first 30 mins painful to watch. I remember David Sommeil having the appearance of someone who'd won a competition to play for us. Arsenal in the league cup was chastening as well. 1st half v. Wolves in the P/O final springs to mind as does Wednesday FA Cup semi final.

The first half v. Villa last season was as good a half of football as i can remember us playing since Borbokis v. Sunderland. We also had a long spell v. Liverpool in the league cup semi where were all over them & Tonge had morphed into a flat footed messi. :)

I also remember Carlton Palmer's Stockport County turning up at BDTBL and looking like a sunday league side, in 2001ish. As bad a side as I can remember.

Pressman's heroics merge into one. I can't remember him playing poorly against us. They avoided a few beatings solely down to him. They should erect a statue of him in Hillsborough Park. Didn't he even manage an assist against us as well? The. Bastard.

Can't remember the game that much, but I remember coming out thinking it was the most one sided game I've ever seen, think it was Gillingham at home, think we won 2-1, what I do remember is Murphy scoring a last minute wonder goal, I've never seen a side dominate a game like we did that day, was like a training exercise

I was right, it was 2-1

The 6-1 against Chester would be hard to beat but 4-0 v port vale under wilder was a total demolition.

They had fully got into their stride and could have scored 8

Spurs at home think it was 92/93 season best em 6-0 ... Peterborough home and away in the 4th Division after their manager said he would burst our bubble . When we beat Bradford 4-0 at Elland Rd about 86 , Orient in the FA cup about 4 years ago just of the top of my head
