Whilst things are quiet football wise, I thought I'd post a thread so we can remember anniversaries of matches that took place.
Not a great first game. Three years ago today we went to Oldham Athletic (when will we be doing that again?) and got a point in an awful game at Boundary Park. The pitch was a sandpit, very difficult to play on, it was boiling hot and the sun was in my eyes. One of the most forgettable games in a very memorable season in the year we got 100 points.
Here is a photo of some very nice daffodils outside Boundary Park, the most memorable thing about the day!

Id rather be going there today mate to be honest. Than dealing with this bullshit.

Wouldn’t we all?

As 1973Blade says, a terrible game and the Boundary Park pitch had been unplayable only a few days before with Granada showing a clip of tubster Anthony Gerrard mudsliding across it.

On the bright side, it was the last point we dropped that season, seven straight wins after that!

I went to the corresponding fixture the previous two seasons, also forgettable 1-1 draws, Porter and Done the goalscorers.

So that's three successive 1-1 classics at Boundary Park.

Thanks for reading.

I went to those matches as well, but missed our only decent game at Boundary Park in recent times, the 2-0 win in our first match with Danny Wilson as manager.

March 28th 2012, a Ched Evans hattrick helps United secure a 4-1 win at home to Chesterfield. Ched was securing for fun, United were playing some excellent football and we looked likely to secure automatic promotion...

Five years ago today, my only away day at Leyton Orient. It wasn't a great game, a 1-1 draw but definitely one of my favourite London grounds, a friendly family club that has kept to their traditions, unlike their fellow East London neighbours!

I think we parked in the same car park. That patch of grass looks in better nick than the pitch did that day.
