Well seen as this may be the end of the season what positions should we be looking for next season?

If folks seriously believe (Tufty included) that Oli McBaffling is worth persisting with and to spearhead and be a focal point of our PL attack, then I am afraid I might just get a wee bit tetchy about it going forward 😉.

Get whatever we can for him and invest this, and then some, in a proper PL CF.

I'm sad to say, the coronovirus might have spoiled this too, to some degree. If we get denied Europe by the season being declared void (which it surely will), our transfer funds and appeal to players will drop dramatically.

Season can’t be declared void if you’ve played 75% of it

I know that (or something similar) applies to matches but does it definitely apply to a whole season? Apologies if I've missed that somewhere.

Expect lawsuits from Bournemouth, Villa, Tottenham and Arsenal, then.

Edit: Also, we've played just under 75% of it any way.

My favourite was declaring this season null and void. The question arose as to who would qualify for the european competitions.....

"Same clubs as this season".

Probably an Arsenal fan.

The league season is what counts, not the season as a whole as that would include cup competitions.
Did you do skip maths at school?
Those games in hand will count as games played, with 3 points awarded to the winner.

28 games is 73% of the season. 29 is 76 but it would be pretty unfair to give both us and Villa 3pts if anything theyll have a panel decide those kind of scenarios that have an outcome that affects both ends of the table

There is no 75% rule, there are no specific rules regarding what happens if a season is forced to finish early, however:

PL Definition of a season:
A.1.169. “Season” means the period commencing on the date of the first League Match on
the fixture list of the League’s first team competition and ending on the date of the
last;

The first section of "The League Competition" is interesting:
C.1. Each Club shall play two League Matches against each other Club each Season,
being the Home Club in respect of one such League Match and the Visiting Club in
respect of the other.

Putting those two together to me means we, either, play the remaining matches or it's voided.

Can't see how you could relegate anyone or crown anyone champions, if you've not by their own definition played everyone home and away. That Nick de Marco would be rubbing his hands.

When ever we restart football
We should complete this season then have a months break.
Fa cup Should be a mini tournament played at the end of the season
The following season should be played out as per normal unless they need to “compress” the season in which case league cup is not played and then if need be the FA cup
National football should be the removed from the calendar for the first 12 months
