With positive cases isolating for 14 days and anyone in close contact self isolating it would quickly mean that no fixtures could be fulfilled.

Arsenals entire squad was in isolation. How do you suggest they field a team of registered players? Football clubs are close knit. Once one player or member of staff is tested positive contact tracing means that the majority of other players and staff will need to isolate as well. It’s fine saying Blades would be ok, but what if we were isolating? You wouldn’t want us to be disadvantaged. Don’t know of any horses or jockeys that have tested positive so not sure of the horse racing relevance.

I thought that would have made Arsenal happy with the opposition having to keep 1 metre distance from them and unable to tackle their ball from them.

From a domestic perspective I'm really not in favour of just declaring this season null and void with very nearly 3/4 of it completed. My suggestion, no way they'll do it, that seems fairest would be to take everyone's points per game currently and times by 38 to get a final total as some teams have games in hand etc.

The season has to finish or clubs will take legal action against premiership &EFL.
Weve been there different circumstances .but millions of pounds riding on finishing positions .In my opinion the new season will have to start later to allow this to happen.
Things are being manipulated for the world cup ,no reason similar changers cant be made to complete this season.
It may cause a big problem but it's the only fair way to go , in my opinion !.

Or finish the current season in August (or whenever games restart) and shorten next season instead.
There is no difference other than scrapping the current season is totally unfair..
Nobody can object if extraordinary measures are taken as a one-off for next season as it hasn’t started yet.
Split every division in two and play a half season. 19 games in Premier League and 23 games in the lower leagues.
Plenty of time to fit that many games in, even if next season starts in January and no club gets shafted.
