Does George follow in the footsteps of Vas Borbokis and go for Greece, or should he try for England?

Probably be too hard for him to get into England, but his performances surely warrant the conversation.

Also Deano getting plenty of praise for the saves but Mcgoldrick was outstanding there as well.

As much as I rate George, I can't see him getting ahead of Alexander-Arnold and Trippier, not to mention our old boy Kyle, who can't get a game himself!

If George qualifies for Greece, then I don't see why not.

I'm actually surprised that Ireland haven't made enquiries about O'Connell - got to have Irish in him with that name! Especially as, in my opinion, he's been criminally overlooked by England..... Mings ahead of him FFS!!

I believe Mick McCarthy previously stated they had enquires re JOC but apparently his Irish roots were to far back to qualify

Say what? Baldocks defending is outstanding on the most part, as is his attacking, if he lacks anything it is a consistent cross, I don't get how you see he has limited ability? Same with Lunny, great box to box, has a lovely pass in him, far from one trick

That's my thinking almost exactly.

After his recent performances I can't see how Southgate can overlook Jack any more... But then I really can see it happening, Mings name got him a game when Jack has been better, even Bash has been

Maybe valid criticism a couple years ago but in terms of premier league fullbacks in all stats he is up their with the best.

Sure they’re both great .......


under Wilders system. Take that system away and they become average, and Baldock has developed a tendency to commit bad fouls in dangerous areas.

I've said it before, but I don't buy into this 'our players are not as good quality and it's only the system we play that makes them look better'.

We've got very good players and we play a system that suits them and they've worked extremely hard to get to that level.
