I had Kelly miles above the rest for years but this kid is a cocky, talented awesome keeper and he is going to be Englands no.1 for years to come.

Kelly was imperious, made save after save but that double save today was better than anything I have ever seen and I mean ever. Agile, confidence, assurance, performance, Blade.

Praying we are his club and he stays forever.

Sander Berge speaks very highly of Henderson.

No way Tracey was better than Kelly.

I respect your opinion that Kelly was better but you saying "no way" to my opinion is rather disrespectful. I always knew we won more games with Tracey in the team than with Kelly

Season by season breakdown (league matches only);

but you do realise thats impossible.
Man Utd don’t want to sell Henderson and he wants to remain at Man Utd...so it would probably take a stupid offer 40 to 50 million to even make Man Ud think about it. His wage would also smash our wage structure which would be a bad idea.

Our best hope is another loan or some kind of buy him but clauses so Man Utd have first option at a low price....
so it’s basically a long term loan until De Gaia’s contract ends.

Henderson could go on to be world class, he could also fall away like many talented players have in the past.

For what's its worth I don't believe he will, his confidence will get him through sticky patches that others wouldn't have the character to do

That being said, he has a way to go to surpass those 2 (who I would struggle to separate, although Kelly was probably just about my favourite)

When he has done it consistently for a number of years, then I will put him in the same category as those 2

Didsy deserves massive credit as it would have still been a goal without his intervention.

I think we’ve done well for keepers. I saw Tracey’s debut and everything after. For a time he was very special. I was worried when he was out injured but Kelly was great and gave you the conundrum of whether he was actually better. A huge compliment. Kelly was also behind some special moments, the 93 semi was an amazing performance. The Coventry cup semi was great seeing him held aloft by the pitch invading fans.

Kenny was good too. Very good at times.

It’s when you get periods when the likes of Bunn and Simmo filling me with dread that you realise how spoilt we’ve been.

Hendo is brilliant and I’d love him to be our long term keeper but the unit in front of him deserve as much credit as he does for our ten clean sheets. At 22 and improving each season he’s potentially some player.

And that comedy dive at the end was class!

Alan Kelly and Simon Tracey were the best keepers we have had in last 50 years I couldnt say which one was better. I also liked Mel Rees. Deano to me still has a bit of a way to go but by gum why can't we sign him. World Class today. I`m hoping he sees sense and realises his future is not with Man U, especially if we can finish higher than them this season.

Hendo is world class and will be England's permanent number one in the near future, but Alan Kelly was my first favourite player.

So he wins in the sentimentality category.

Simon Tracey was like a cat. Many facets for being a great goalkeeper, but Tracey had the best agility in my opinion.

Henderson is a fine young goalkeeper and will no doubt go on to be even better .

However , compared to some of the great goalkeepers of the past he has one noticeable weakness and that is the ability to cut out low balls into the box that are clearly there for the taking and there was a good example of this early on in today's match .

In this respect , he is by no means alone amongst modern goalkeepers who seem very reluctant to go for this kind of ball compared to the likes of Banks , Schmeicel and our own Hodgy who considered the 6 yard box to be their territory and any ball going in there at whatever height , they were fucking having it come what may .

If he could add this attribute to his game , he could go on to be one of the great English goalkeepers .

Tracey for me.
Tracey struggled when the back pass rule changed. He was no footballer.

Thats very true, the Back Pass rule ruined Tracey!

Kelly was the more consistent and less eratic, but Tracey had this ability to just keep the ball out of the net...

Hendo was grown in a lab from the DNA of Tracey and Kelly.

Sadly only issue is that he’s not currently our player...and is very unlikely to be.

And the recent Hype he’s gained through some good performances has with every good review made it more and more unlikely he will ever be our player.

start of last season, we may have been able to tempt a sale if we’d offered £10m...that figure is going to be £40m upwards now, and we won’t be the only club after him either.

Enjoy him while he’s here, I like to think the lad will always have a soft spot for our club, and remember what Wilder and his club did for his development into the international player he will be by the seasons end.
He still has a lot to learn, vast room for improvement with his kicking and distribution being the one weakness, and my heart says he should stay with us while ever we continue recent improvements and as he’s often confirmed how much he’s learning and improving under Ward and Wilder. However my head says that we just have no control over the situation and that will sadly see his time with us come to an abrupt and if not this coming June, certainly next.

Hendo has a strong bond to our club, however I feel that would be the case no matter what club he’s at, he’s just that kind of lad. But regardless of him leaving and when that is, I will always follow how he does and consider him a blade.

Kelly’s performance against Wednesday in the FA Cup semi is probably the benchmark for United goalkeepers to be judged against in single games. Followed by Rees v. Liverpool. Hendo as good as he is, and as good as his save was yesterday, hasn’t put in a performance at that level for us yet.

I’d have Kelly above Tracey. Kenny was never the same keeper after he got injured and over the 8 or so games Rees played for us, he was ridiculously good. Fairytale stuff.

My top three United keepers are Tracey, Kelly and Hendo.

The best without a doubt is Hendo. I wouldn’t even say he has any weaknesses in his overall game. I would say he has already probably saved us a good half a dozen points this season. What says it all is that he has made 3 errors since he first came in during the summer of 2018, and after each one he has imperious in the games after when many other goalkeepers would have struggled with confidence

I think we will doing very well to get another season out of him, so I’m just enjoying him whilst he is here, because he is going to the very top

It’s a discussion that will always go on and if you go back a few more years Tom McAllister. Destined to be a world class keeper until Rodney Marsh.

Oh don’t forget another one only 5 feet 9 inches tall and arguably better than them all, his name

ALAN HODGKINSON

Henderson best shot stopper by a county mile. Kenny was very good but Hendo tops the tree for me.

If we can get him this summer then it's a no brainer

but you do realise thats impossible.

I know it's a crude over-simplification, but if our transfer budget for next season is around £80m, I'd have absolutely no problem with us putting down £40-50m to get him outright.

Deano is more important than just big saves. He has a winners mindset and drive but above all else he has the hunger and belief that he is going to the very- very top which is really motoring all the lads along.

The confidence he gives our back 3/5 is what enables us to play the formation and the way we do.

Basically he would be much harder to replace than a lot of people expect.

Problem is...why would Man U sell? For any price?

Alan Kelly all day long .. best I've seen in nets for blades .. Kenny second
And joint 3rd Henderson and Trace..

And then think of all the shit we had between Kenny and Moore (who was very good in league 1 )

That wasn't me picking Deano over Kelly, it was just a general comment.

Kelly happens to be one of my favourite players of all time, let alone keeper.
