Roygbiv and I give some thoughts on the win over Reading in the FA Cup, including the performances of Ben Osborn (not Osborne this week), Luke Freeman, Lys Mousset, and of course that man Billy Sharp. Then, reaction to drawing Arsenal at home (yes please), and finally a preview of Norwich who are hanging on in there.

Good pod as always, think you were a little harsh on our performance against Reading. They really impressed me in breaking our press, especially second half.

Can't wait for Arsenal, will be a reyt occasion and I fancy us again. Brings back 'memries' of Charlton at home in the quarters, what a day that was.

Liked the Coutts comparison... Never dawned on me till you said it.
Think folk want to see the Duffy role again cos it was the best (most attractive) football we've ever played... certainly in my lifetime.

That whole period is a blur to me. I recently listened back to one we did during Covid about the cup run under Clough for some research for the Memory Lane podcast. Absolutely none of it rang any bells. Ben tells me we did a podcast on the Warnock relegation season but I'm don't fully believe him

Not totally sure what led us down this road, but Roygbiv and I decided to return to a season that I have never previously gone back to: 2006/07, and our ill-fated Premiership season under Neil Warnock.

I imagine plenty of people would gladly never think about this season again, but if you fancy reliving some highs, more than a few lows, and trying to work out what the hell went wrong with that season (answer: lots of things), then I hope this will serve as a definitive, comprehensive account of a year that contrasts so sharply with everything we've seen under...
