Had a few beers last night so vaguely remember but when he came on did he play Midfield? I thought he did well. Although scene a few comments on here saying he was average. Aware it was only short stint and he got booked!

Yes midfield, he got caught in possession once which lead to his booking. He was ok other than that, tidy enough on the ball and closed down players when needed.

Really difficult to learn much in the 15 minutes he was on the pitch.

Looked keen to be involved, got caught flat footed a couple of times when the direction of play flipped quickly. Looks to have good vision and positional sense. Encouraging IMO.

I hope he’s a level headed type.. there has to be a player in there for Leverkusen to pay so much at such a young age..

do fear he may no get anymore game time this season and leave with only 15 minutes played and he goes onto be very very good and it’s one of those what could have beens.

I hold less hope for Zivkovic

Looked a bit startled to me, not an ideal situation to come into, the shape of the team was a bit all over and he's supposed to be a CB not a CM so can't read too much into it. Clever yellow as mentioned above.

Did he look a bit small for a CB? Looked a bit lost but unsurprising really.

I thought when he came on he would have gone to RCB with Basham moving into midfield. I was surprised to see him come into midfield to be honest.

Panos got caught in possession the first time he got the ball but after that he was much better. The booking was later and was a case of taking one for the team but we did have cover (Freeman?) close by so maybe it was a bit unnecessary. He played at the base of the midfield and was decent positionally - he made life difficult for the Reading players when they were throwing everything forward in the last few minutes.

I remember Jean Calve looking excellent in his first ever game for us. I also recall Jack O'Connell looking poor to begin with.

People are so quick to form opinions of new players and in particular, not considering our unusual style of play that will take players some time to get accommodated with.

Even our first XI looked a bit lost with the formation the way it was.

Apart from giving the ball away, I didn't really notice him, which is fair enough given how few minutes he got.

Bit of a crap game to be chucked into for him, but given his pedigree he's no doubt better than that, as are the rest of the team.

Robbo was the new Thierry Henry in pre-season. Now he’s at West Brom.

So far this morning I’ve read that we’ve turned shit, followed by ‘we can beat anyone left in the Cup apart from Man City’.

we had made numerous changes and Retsos added to that
its not going to be the same as the regular 11, to expect it is barmy

BUT we won which is the general jist of it in a tricky away tie in their cup final

Looked capable enough when on but we were in game management mode having took the lead so wasnt going to be expansive

Stop talking sense S64...ffs....!

A bit like Berge seemed out of kilter with the pace of the game , did ok though , be a better time to judge after a lot more games

Genuinely thought he would start last night.

Was easy to see why he didn’t 😉

Early days 😀.

There's a thing in poker where people say it can take you thousands of hands to figure out how good someone is but one hand to know how bad they are. Stick me on the pitch for 15 minutes and you'd know I was never going to play in the Prem. All you can really say about Retsos is he didn't look out of place in our side.

15 mins aint enough to form a judgement,. However ................. ;)

He looked a little lost imo. If it's because he's a CB then fair enough. If it's because it was his debut and playing in England the English way, then also fair enough

Like all our signings, they need time and I'm sure time is what they'll get under CWAK

Dronnies Wink bank is filling up nicely.
