First 2 to be revealed on 19 March.
I'm going to guess Shearer and Lampard.

Is it just for players?

If it's not I'd say Sir Alex Ferguson and Shearer.

If it's just players, Shearer and Giggs.

Deano has to be in there at some point though surely.

Can’t see any United player getting in, Deane scored the first ever PL goal but that’s it. That’s not HOF worthy imo. HOF is players whose won multiple trophies, top scorers, highly capped at one club etc...

Was listening to that ginger pleb on talksport going on about this.....clearly up to his usual.

Had Rio Ferdinand in his top3 players in premier league history...... and was scoffing at the suggestion of Shearer - "What just cos he scored a load of goals?"

Seems a poor move to start with 2 and induct 2 per year unless I've misunderstood. Also is it just Premier League or top tier? I'll stick with just Prem for now which would exclude such luminaries as Lineker which makes me happy. Beckham would also miss out which is a shame.
Shearer is the obvious choice and after suggesting Lampard (I can see it now, 'made the move from top class player to top class manager seamlessly!) I thought Schmeichel would be a better choice. Others that instantly sprang to mind were Henry, Giggs, Bergkamp, Cole A., Scholes. If managers are included (why not) Ferguson and Wenger.

I'm sure this has probably been posted here already (I haven't seen it) but just in case this seems a good thread to put it on:

and maybe not as popular but he was one of ours

What would the British equivalent to a Hall of Fame be? It does seem very NFL/NBA/MLB as a concept and I'd suggest this is a Budweiser related thing so is probably looking at those as inspiration.

I think it's a good idea in principal, but the fan voting makes it pointless anyway.

Should be a committee of football people if it was to have any worth.

Absolutely expect clubs with a good following to get every player in the HOF

More horseshit.

What next? MVP.?

FFS there are already too many US ideas transplanted into English sport. Surprised they haven’t turned games into quarters, with 15 minute ad breaks. Mad Men.
