We needed to freshen it up a bit. Cover at the back and also more options. Berge will be a regular starter. Without doing so, we'd have been incredibly light if we got a few injuries. I feel a bit for Besic though.

Berge messed up for their goal but some of the passes he spotted in the first half were immense. Once he gets up to speed he will be fantastic for us.

Lunny scored a great goal but he was awful when he came on up to that point.

Lunny was not awesome when he came on, he gave the ball away needlessly several times. Ultimately he scored the winner so obviously it will be remembered as a brilliant cameo

Yes it was worth it - keep going forward rather than standing still. We have been fortunate with injuries (or maybe we just train well) but that could change at any point.

Berge isn't ready yet - the pace of the match passed him by at first and then his mistake led to the goal. But to be fair after that he improved and looked a stronger player on the ball that was able to travel with it linking well on the right with Baldock and Bash......................he'll get there - no rush. He looks like a quality player who needs time to adjust.

Yeah Berge was good overall, he's not as in your face as Lunny but his strength and passing ability are fantastic.

He did a cheeky backheel first 10 minutes, then he cocked that clearance up but who hasn't, Fleck at Forest for example, he's just getting used to who's around him, after that though he was great. I can't remember him being dispossessed or giving it away to be honest.

Even second half when he got absolutely clattered into running with the ball, he stayed upright and got a pass away.

Also it was hilarious watching him Vs Fraser. Like under 8s vs adults.

We definitely needed to strengthen, & will continue to need to strengthen in the future if we are to move forward. Berge was Ok today, but at times looked a bit lost as thought he was not sure where he was playing. But with time etc I am sure he will prove a sound investment.

It's much better to be bringing players in from a position of strength than desperation. Our first eleven can give anyone a good game but it's a thin squad that needs to be continually upgraded. I'd much rather us pick out some targets now than think we've missed out on points because we sat on what we had.

Berge grew into the game, showed some of his quality and given that he's only been here a week fitted in quite well and left no doubt that he'll be a great fit when he's up to the speed of the PL.
