Why wasn’t the goal given to Norwood the balls clearly swinging in to the goal why is that an own goal

I think the keeper touched the ball over the line . You can't really credit that goal to Norwood though it was an excellent corner.

I don't get that it was attributed as an OG. If someone has a shot on goal and it's parried by the GK but still goes in (like a penalty that is firmly hit), then the goal is attributed to the striker of the ball ? Norwood's corner was hit at a good pace and was going in, i don't see the difference.

He didn't have full control, he wouldn't have dropped the ball if had full control.

I think it should be Norwood's, the keeper didn't alter the path of the ball

I agree, I thought that the goal should have been given to Norwood. It looked like it was going in and the keeper was never in full control of it. If it had been a straight shot at goal and on target and the keeper had fumbled it I don’t think it would have been given as an OG.

It was a keeper error, keepers should have been collecting that all day long, that's why its an OG.

It’s about possession in this case. The keeper was deemed to have taken possession, then scored.

Think he more than touched it over the line. The net was nearly bulging it was that far over!!

They were looking at a possible foul on the keeper. The referee has the goal line technology on his watch and he decides whether it crosses the line.

See what you mean. Not saying I'd have made the same decision but sure that's how the decision maker would justify it - two hands on the ball in a regulation keeping action = own goal

So every time a keeper get a hand to a shot which goes in the net it's an own goal then? Don't think many strikers will agree with that one.

That's not what I said. I'm not saying I agree with it but that's how the decision makers think in these goal keeping situations.

I thought the rule was if the a shots going on target it doesn’t matter what the defender does.

Norwoods cross was going in so how’s it not his goal

No one is expected to score direct from a corner kick unlike a shot on goal that is the only difference. It was a corner to put the keeper under pressure and he couldn't cope with it I'd give it to Norwood. Having said that I'd give him the goal at Everton too.

The whole idea of the attacker getting the benefit of the doubt seems to have now gone. I also feel the goal should be given to Norwood. It was swinging into the net , keeper couldnt keep it out. Bad keeping or not.
