My son is a die hard Blade, junior blade from birth, season ticket holder since 6 years old and spends most of his school time arguing with/laughing at his Leeds fan mates and plastic fans of Liverpool /Man City etc.

He can often be found playing football in a Sunderland kit and wanting them to win when they're not playing the Blades (he was Blades mascot for the boxing day match against them at BDTBL).
His mum is a Makem and his gran buys him a Sunderland kit every year in the hope he'll change his allegiance.
Each summer he goes to the academy of light in his Blades kit for the summer schools. Each year comes back with many medals and for the last 3 years the trophies for best player and best attitude.
He has an affinity for SAFC but he is a Blades fan without a shadow of a doubt.

There's a photo of me wearing a Leeds Utd shirt in the seventies which got brought out at my wedding by my Leeds Utd supporting best man with the help of my Blades fan dad. Much confusion from the Internet Blades teammates who also attended the wedding. Nick Montgomery also turned up (which was nice!) as his mum & dad were there too.
There's also a photo of me wearing a Leeds Utd hat and a Sheffield United scarf at the same time from around the same period (pre half & half scarves). We grew up at the foot of Ilkley Moor and most supported Leeds Utd or Bradford City there.

Not sure where I'm going with this, but I thought it best to put it out there in case one of my mates decides to chirp up in the future. Might save a thread.

Many of my mates had sisters, And I had many of my mates sisters!

Up The Blades!

I’ve heard Deano is a Leeds fan

Everyone’s favourite supporting actor/entertainer/director/falldownandgetstraightbackupandrunarounder was a Leeds fan. If it’s good enough for monty, it’s good enough for walker.

I thought you meant Sir Jimmy....

Soooooooo Kyle isn't a Blade! I love conspiracy theories me.

Have Kyle Walker and Dean Hammond ever been seen in the same room together? 🤔

In fact, scrub that, has Dean Hammond ever been seen?

He did unseen work ..... does that count

UTB & FTP

I know a bloke who was friends with ex manager Jimmy Sirrel, he wasn't an ugly cunt at all. He never did like Notts County nor did he ever figure out why that alien spacecraft left him there, he really was a good looker on planet Zen.

Must be his Mrs family because it not Kyle's who will rib him. I know Kyle very well having gone to school with him and being brought up with him and non of his family were Blades. Non of his family were bothered about United, his Dad was a massive Leeds fan and so was Kyle. Always surprises me when he says he is a Blade because I know he's not. He obviously has fond memories of us as do every player that comes through the academy and makes the first team but he doesn't support us no matter what he says. Been to the odd game over the years that is because of friends but other than that neither him or his famly ever attend games or have an interest in us. Harry MaGuire has been back to more Blades game and he was a Wednesday fan as a kid. But fair play to Kyle, he is not daft and is working his ticket back to us at some point. Just hope he still has speed when he does.
[/QUOTE]
You are right. The only person on his side who really loved the blades was his great grandfather Jack. Bless him! Who lived next door to his grandparents at the time in the 80s/90s. My family know his family fairly well, and used to walk to the lane a lot with Jack. who used to take him to the Lane now and again.

Thanks for that Blad 👀

Your not getting this are you? and as I said he is playing a blinder and stick a reporter or camera in front of him he goes full on Blade but there will be plenty on here that know different. Each to their own I just find it a bit weird.
Mate please shut up

Let me clear this mess up. My dad's brothers uncles cousins aunties dogs sister is Kyle Walkers dog and I saw it chewing on a Sheffield United Ball downt Park. Hope this helps.

This is funny as
Yes I am calling him out for not being a Blades supporting, big deal. Some of the sweaty wives on here need to get a grip its as though I have slaughtered the man.

I hope he wins the league again with City and also gets called up by England again, I hope to one day see him back in a United shirt but big Blades fan? give me peace.

Why don't you consentrate on polktalk and discuse about your imminent expulsion from the football league for being lying cheating twars. 👍

I always suspected that people raised in small rural communities were prone to that sort of thing.

Incidentally, did you ever go on Ilkley Moor without your hat?

I feel sorry for your kid. He wants to be a Blade but his mother and grandmother seem intent on forcing him down the road of being a Makem. It's a bit like having a boy and dressing it as a girl, against its will. It's all very well this, but it can backfire on the person in later life and cause them personal trauma. I'm finding it difficult to come to terms with the modern notion that sexual gender is "non-binary" - so I'm going to find it absolutely impossible to understand how a child can be a Blade but dress as a Sunderland fan. Social services need alerting to this imo.

(BTW - despite all this, he sounds like a great kid and not without considerable talent. You must be very proud of him - so treat him reight and gerrim a Blade's shirt will yer? or just take the Sunderland badge of his current shirt - the women in the house won't be any wiser).

Saved thi sen wi that last statement lad.

Not a player, but I went to school with the famous Blades reporter Deadbat, and can confirm that he was miserable and describing United as ‘poor’ even back then.

He's fine, he gets spoiled by the Makem side as he's an only child of an only child.
He's playing the lot of 'em like a chuffing fiddle I'm sure of it!

He has more Blades stuff by a ratio of about 4:1 (possibly more due to hand me downs from another Blades family).

He wears the SAFC gear when there's a higher chance of damaging his clothes 😜

Tried it a couple of times on the moors without a hat (never with 'Mary Jane' though). Nearly caught my death of cold!☠❄

🇾🇪

Edit:that should have been a reply to Cerberus Blade !😉

Can you imagine making an account on the forum of a football team you don’t support only to try and rile people up with fabricated claims that someone who hasn’t played for us in nearly ten years doesn’t actually support us?
Ignoring the fact that Walker would literally gain absolutely nothing from pretending this was the case, the very premise of this thread stinks of pork.
