4 points was the best I thought we'd get in January and we got it so well done Blades. The next run of games give us a massive opportunity to cement our PL status. If this seems rather negative then I am, I have never looked at what's in front of us and my first view of results/table every week is how the bottom clubs have done. It may take something like 42 points this season so lets bag them in Feb. Get safe first then go for it.

City have only scored less than 2 goals away from home twice this season: 3-1 defeat at Anfield and tonight. Could’ve been worse.

Yeah agree we never really laid a glove on them second half. I dare say the Mcburnie stretching chance would have been VAR’d too.

At 60-65 minutes wilder had a huge decision to make: go for it and make some attacking changes or keep us tight. I would have liked to see us go for it but we were on the ropes as it was and can completely understand why he didn’t want to make us even more vulnerable when we were only just keeping them at bay as it was. Really tough choice. I think the fact all 3 of our midfielders were on yellows did have an impact on the fact that they controlled the midfield second half too.

They were really good. No shame in that performance tonight. I wonder what would have happened if the pen went in. It would have opened the game up early and might have given us more of an attacking desire/necessity but to be honest I think they would have controlled us and gone on to win by 3 or 4.

Amazing to see us mixing it with what will go down as potentially the greatest premier league side in history.

I think a full squad rotation for the cup and back at it in the prem with a fully rested and fresh side.

we’ve put in Two very commendable performances against city - it was alway gonna be difficult with the resources and quality they have. KDB and Aguero the only real difference imo

im delighted i was worried in June, that 6 game spell that we just finished couldve been a nightmare & huge dent to the confidence but only once have we been well beaten that was liverpool & we know that was an anomaly for a few reasons. so to get almost average a point a game in that spell is a great achievement

I was worried that we’d lose by 5 or 6 nil in every game against the ‘big’ two in ‘da‘month of death’ and also struggle to get much against Arsenal and West Ham, so all in all it’s not been three bad. From now on it’s all plain sailing...isn’t it?

As much as I want to beat Millwall, I do think a few “rotations” are in order. Rest a few; give a few fringe players a run out- debut for new Robinson, etc.

Then go again in February with the lighter schedule (a la pre-Christmas) of very winnable games, hopefully with McGoldrick back and maybe another signing or two to freshen things up.

Get those two wins and break the 40pt barrier as early as we can and see where we can go from there.
