Prince's first job in the summer?

After all the assets and the club is bought by The Prince what do you reckon is his first task to improve? (Apart from the usual summer signings)

Definitely need to increase the capacity for me. More fans would rather buy a season ticket than pay £40 a game imo, plus the demand was huge in the summer for a S/T so this backs it up.

People have been on about not having sell outs this season...

Never know novelty might be over next season, although people will always watch a successful team. I’ve missed last few due to illness and I’m still not reyt, us old’uns eh ?

Keep hold of whoever CW wants to keep and give him the (reasonable) cash to improve the first 11.

Appoint one or two highly intelligent fans to the board to keep an eye on 'our' club like NEDs do at public companies..

I'm glad this has all been sorted out quickly be 'we' need to guard against being leveraged up and losing the Prince at some point with all the debt sat on the balance sheet. Not saying that's going to happen but I'd be happier with s governance structure that has some supporter input

He doesn't need to do this as he owns us lock, stock and barrel but it provide some.comfort if there was local oversight.

We don't sell out because of restricted views and the mad ticketing policy. Nothing to do with the capacity being too big. It certainly isn't.
Singles and restricted view mainly...out of interest priced up a restricted view ticket on family stand..£46

Absolutely, on the Bramall Lane field of Battle, drop your adversary's banner into the dirt, and send him packing

Better check Kev has settled his bill before he fucks off .......

Sack Wilder, we've had too much success and happiness, someone else needs to have a chance before we go on to win the Premier League and Champions League with League one players.

Its not right and its not fair on football. Just look how upset West Ham and Arsenal fans got last week. Do we really want to inflict this on every club?

Exactly. Imagine you and say 2 mates are wanting to go and you all had to sit separately and pay £46 for the privilege. You just wouldn't. If our ground held 36k this season we'd average around 35k

Increasing capacity now would be daft, we dont sell out and we have been in the prem 1 season.
I just dont get how we still have people trotting out the "we don't sell out now" line.

It's blindingly obvious the reason we're not selling out is restricted views and a ticketing policy designed to cope with a limited current capacity. This is resulting in a variance in attendances of about 1500 because it has been made very difficult for non season ticket holders to attend games they would otherwise go to.

If see had a 37000 capacity I believe we'd be averaging 35000 plus this season, hitting 37000 some games and 32-33000 others.

We should get the capacity increased asap to capitalise on the increased interest in our club, Get them hooked now before the other lot ever make it back up to the Premier. (snigger)

I listened to an interesting debate about increasing stadium capacity and stadium moves this morning on TalkSport. What I never considered was the complaints about new attenders, who often don’t really support the club but just want to watch PL football. They don’t cheer, they don’t sing because they don’t know the words and they don’t really care about the club. Apparently this is a problem at Brighton and it’s why their atmosphere is shit. Same with West Ham.

I think we should start a waiting list for STs (if we haven’t already) so we can gauge the actual demand. It’s more accurate than saying ‘I think we could sell ....’

He needs to sort out the training facilities first off.

Then, should we still be in the Prem the year after.. the Kop (2021). It's a shit hole. We could use the extra 4k seats that's been spoken of.

The Prince has already spoke about his intentions.

He said he’s spoken to Wilder and he says the top priority is improving the training facilities. apparently they are at best average Championship standard.

Regards the stadium the Prince has said he wants to improve the facilities. The Chairman said they don’t have any plans for any immediate expansion. Said he likes the atmosphere and he intends to do a 3 or 4,000 expansion when we’re more established in the PL.

Which property assets are you worried he might sell?

We need better training facilities and moving away from Shirecliffe might be the only way we get them. There's no chance he'll move us out of Bramall Lane. We need to play somewhere and the money he'd get for selling the land wouldn't cover the cost of a new stadium. There's no benefit for anyone.

The Prince has confirmed many times he has no desire to move away from Bramall Lane.

Remove the poles ....and then the rest of the Kop and build it properly this time. It’s embarrassing and let’s down what is otherwise a decent stadium.

Perhaps Scarborough Group could do a special price eh?

Forget increasing capacity, when we can't even sell out for the visit of the current PL champions.
Getting some of his wealthy mates interested in throwing a few bob our way, and improved training facilities is 1st priority,
31200 basically a sell out? Rest being restricted view.

We got 32,024 against Man U, the Premier League handbook says our capacity is 32,125. Don't know how many restricted view seats there are though.

Upgrade training facilities whilst new one is built. I would imagine that building a new one from scratch would take at the very minimum 2 years? Whilst we wait can we upgrade our existing one?
