If you notice in the media it's always the club then the players name in the first sentence.
When a player is on the news he could have had ten clubs but certain media will mention SU IF he played for us in the first line ! Imo

So you don't think he's done anything wrong and it's acceptable as someone in the public eye (globally) and as a role model (which all professional footballers are) to act as he is? 🤨

No.

In my opinion, footballers aren’t role models. That’s the job of parents. Problem is too many are crap at that job, however, that’s another debate.

As for bringing United into disrepute, I think we fans are just as good, if not better in some cases.

As for the FA, they’ve rapped his knuckles. It would have been a non-story, as still is in my eyes, if Sky and the rest of the media didn’t have to invent stories to fill the 24 hour news cycle to sell advertising space.

Personally I’ve never looked to footballers as role models, I just pay money to watch them demonstrate their ability on a football pitch. No more no less.

Although have gone out today and bought a gold chain and a twat hat,

When we all start listening to Simon Jordan then it’s time to pack it all in. Blokes a know-nowt cretin.

I think McBurnie must have some sort of self destruct gene, his careers at a peak, yet unbelievably he’s getting arrested, interacting with slappers on Twitter and knocking about with a load of fucking idiots?

Never mind what Gary Neville, Simon Jordan and Jamie O’Hara think. he wants to worry about what Chris Wilder and Prince Abdullah think. because I imagine they’re patience is wearing a little thin. £20M or not, I wouldn’t imagine they’d need much more material to cancel his contract?

I’m not claiming to know the bloke personally, but I don’t think Wilder will be too bothered by his antics at Swansea. That is provided he turned up for training the next day on time & without an hangover etc. I imagine he just got a semi serious “you daft or what” and a clip round ear from Wilder. Princey probably has no idea about this & it’s well beneath him anyway. I imagine Wilder gave have him a good bollocking over the drink driving though.

In hindsight, maybe I’ve overreacted, I can’t see them realistically writing of a £20M investment, but I can see Wilder looking to get rid to the highest bidder, if he doesn’t start toeing the line.

I’m sure he’s a nice lad, but he isn’t coloured in properly. Ultimately his juvenile behaviour and the company he keeps, could cost him more than he could imagine.😲

Rooney had a career full of scandal, didn't exactly harm his career and I don't remember him being taken to task by his employers.

As for the drink driving (which is a disgrace), there are bucket loads of professionals, many England internationals that have also been guilty of this. Why should McB be treat any differently just because he has a wild dress sense and enjoys a laugh?

Said before he wont care one jot.
However, this afternoon adrian durham will be all over this once again saying chris wilder not taking something else seriously now.

It was obvious. When he was at Bradford we beat Coventry in the quarter final of the cup. Wilder was part of the pitch invasion and even jumped on Steve Thompson's back. Imagine if McBurnie had done that on Sunday!

People are not understanding what Chris Wilder has said in that tweet. He says he can relate to him going back, he says he has no problem with it, but he also says they have rightly received a letter from the FA. In other words, he agrees with the reminder from the FA to behave.
